The staff accountant will work closely with the Controller & National Accounting Manager to carry out the fiscal accounting functions of the company in accordance with GAAP, financial management techniques, and practices appropriate within the cannabis industry for a multi-state entity.\nResponsibilities\nDaily review of bank transactions to ensure entry accuracy in all markets.\nReview of vendor invoices, entering of bills, and preparing payments. \nAssist with prepping bi-weekly employee reimbursement requests & recording of payments.\nWeekly reviews & postings of company credit card activity.\nMaintain accurate employee records & system settings in Sage (expense management system) for all organizations.\nAssist with monthly inventory reconciliations & postings of COGS/Adjustments.\nAssist with the month-end close processes including bank reconciliations, financial statement review/preparation, & credit card postings.\nAssist with Microsoft Business Central implementation for multiple states.\nEnsure cannabis compliance within the accounting environment.\nDevelop and implement other appropriate policies and procedures as necessary.\nCandidate Qualifications\nSkills\nAdvanced Google Suite and Excel skills are a must\nAttention to detail \nStrong organizational and communication skills\nConfidentiality and integrity\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment. \nExperience\n3-5 Years of progressively responsible accounting experience\nExperience with month-end close \nExperience with general ledger functions\nExperience using Quickbooks Online -
