This position will lead teams of electrical engineers and designers, manage project staffing and resources, and ensure electrical design projects are delivered in accordance with established scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nManage the electrical engineering and design of utility-scale PV and BESS projects from conceptual and preliminary design through IFC design and construction support.\nLead and coordinate teams of electrical engineers and designers responsible for project execution.\nPlan project staffing, assign work, manage workloads, and coordinate internal resources to meet project schedules and deliverables.\nDevelop and manage electrical engineering scopes, budgets, schedules, work plans, and deliverable schedules.\nServe as the primary technical and project management point of contact for clients for electrical design projects.\nProvide technical leadership and oversight for electrical design activities, calculations, drawings, specifications, and engineering deliverables.\nOversee development of PV electrical systems, including DC collection, inverter systems, AC collection, medium-voltage collection systems, grounding, communications, and associated electrical balance-of-system design.\nOversee development of BESS electrical systems, including battery systems, power conversion systems (PCS), transformers, switchgear, medium-voltage collection, auxiliary power, grounding, communications, and associated electrical balance-of-system design.\nOversee underground and overhead medium-voltage collection design, including routing, conductor and cable selection, equipment locations, pole layouts, and overhead-to-underground transitions.\nCoordinate electrical interfaces with project substations, gen-tie facilities, utility interconnections, SCADA/communications systems, and other project infrastructure.\nCoordinate electrical requirements with civil, structural, geotechnical, substation, and other engineering disciplines.\nCoordinate equipment requirements and vendor information for PV inverters, BESS PCS and battery systems, transformers, switchgear, and other major electrical equipment.\nReview and approve electrical calculations, drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, studies, and other engineering deliverables.\nLead design reviews and ensure electrical designs are complete, coordinated, constructable, and compliant with applicable project requirements and standards.\nManage project performance against established budgets and schedules and proactively address staffing, scope, schedule, and technical issues.\nIdentify changes in project scope and support development of additional service requests and contract amendments.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to electrical engineers and designers.\nAssist with development and implementation of electrical design standards, procedures, templates, and quality-control processes.\nSupport preparation of proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and project schedules for electrical engineering services.\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships and support business development within the solar PV and BESS markets.\nSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:\nBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited engineering program.\nMinimum of 7 years of electrical engineering experience, with progressively increasing responsibility in electrical design, technical leadership, and/or project management.\nDemonstrated experience with electrical engineering for utility-scale solar PV, BESS, power generation, substations, or other medium- and high-voltage power systems.\nDemonstrated ability to manage electrical engineering projects, including scope, budget, schedule, staffing, and technical deliverables.\nExperience leading and coordinating teams of electrical engineers and designers.\nWorking knowledge of medium-voltage electrical systems, electrical equipment, grounding, cable and conductor systems, and power distribution.\nAbility to review and provide technical direction on electrical calculations, one-line diagrams, equipment layouts, collection systems, grounding systems, wiring diagrams, and construction documents.\nStrong understanding of electrical engineering principles and applicable industry codes and standards.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients, engineers, designers, equipment vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and engineering teams concurrently.\nAbility to exercise independent technical judgment and make sound project-level decisions.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure.\nDirect electrical engineering and project management experience with utility-scale solar PV and/or BESS projects.\nExperience managing electrical design projects from conceptual engineering through IFC design and construction support.\nExperience with 34.5 kV or similar medium-voltage collector systems.\nExperience with underground and overhead medium-voltage systems.\nFamiliarity with PV inverters, BESS PCS equipment, battery systems, medium-voltage transformers, switchgear, substations, and utility interconnection equipment.\nExperience with electrical system studies, including short-circuit, load flow, grounding, cable ampacity, and equipment evaluation.\nExperience coordinating electrical designs with substation, utility interconnection, SCADA, civil, and structural engineering disciplines.\nExperience managing multiple simultaneous projects and allocating engineering and design resources across a portfolio of work.\nExperience developing electrical engineering scopes, proposals, fee estimates, and project schedules.\nDemonstrated ability to mentor and develop electrical engineers and designers.\n The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills
