This role will play a key part in coordinating clinical studies that support product validation, scientific credibility, and partner collaborations across our microbiome-based testing and health insights.\nThe Clinical Coordinator will work closely with the Head of Science and Clinical Studies Project Manager to ensure studies run smoothly, timelines are met, and documentation and compliance standards are upheld. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, resource-conscious startup environment and enjoys bringing structure to complex clinical work.\nWhat You’ll Do\nClinical Study Coordination & Execution\nSupport the day-to-day coordination of observational, interventional, and real-world evidence studies\n\nAssist with study startup activities, including site onboarding, documentation, and timeline tracking\n\nMaintain study schedules, task plans, and internal communication across stakeholders\n\nCoordinate sample logistics, participant workflows, and data collection processes\n\nRegulatory & Compliance Support\nSupport IRB submissions, amendments, and continuing reviews in partnership with study leadership\n\nMaintain accurate study documentation, including protocol files, consent forms, and essential trial documents\n\nEnsure study activities follow HIPAA and applicable clinical research standards\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with internal Science, Bioinformatics, and Product teams to support metadata capture and study execution\n\nServe as a point of contact for external collaborators, research sites, and CRO partners as needed\n\nHelp translate study needs into clear operational processes and follow-through\n\nData & Study Reporting Support\nAssist with clinical study reporting, including progress updates, interim summaries, and final documentation\n\nSupport preparation of study materials for abstracts, manuscripts, partner updates, or internal presentations\n\nTrack study metrics and help identify operational risks or bottlenecks early\n\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in life sciences, public health, clinical research, or a related field\n\n2+ years of experience in clinical research coordination, clinical operations, or a related role\n\nFamiliarity with IRB processes and human subjects research requirements\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple concurrent projects\n\nAbility to manage timelines, documentation, and stakeholder communication effectively\n\nComfort working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment with evolving processes\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nPrevious experience in a fast-paced startup environment\n\nPreferred\nExperience in biotech, diagnostics, digital health, or startup environments\n\nBackground in pediatrics, maternal-infant health, or microbiome-related research\n\nFamiliarity with electronic data capture tools, clinical trial management systems, or REDCap\n\nExperience coordinating external partners, sites, or CROs\n\nWork experience in DTC health/wellness companies\n\nExperience working remotely, with proficiency in Slack\n\nSelf-directed, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity\n\nHow we work\nA mission that actually pulls people in We make the microbiome measurable and actionable at every life stage, and real people write in to say it's life-changing.\n\nRemote-first, real overlap Our FTEs are based in North America and work core hours from 9am-6pm CST, shiftable by up to two hours either way - start at 7am or 11am, wrap at 4pm or 8pm.\n\nWritten first, huddle second, meet last Default to a clear Slack post, huddle when a thread stalls, and meet only to make a real decision.\n\nFast, but never sloppy Do the two-month thing in two weeks, then check the work-shipping errors is rework, not speed.\n\nShape what we build, not just how we build it There's no playbook waiting for you, so write it-and bring the alternative, not just the objection.\n\nDay One mentality Fewer titles and layers; process is a guardrail where it counts, never the reason something didn't ship.\n\nNo hidden agendas Numbers, misses, and feedback are shared openly and in real time, so you always know where you stand.\n\nHigh standards, genuinely fun people Take the work seriously and ourselves much less-high-performing and fun to be around is the hiring bar.\n\nIs this pace for you?
