STD, LTD, and Life Insurance policies are our gift to you as a FT Employee. 401K, Paid Time Off, Sick Time, and Holiday Pay.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:\nMonitors all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity for proper resolution.\nEnsures the quality of operations in the Security Department on assigned shift.\nMaintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property.\nProtects company assets and gaming integrity through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor.\nDirects the flow of Security Reports to the proper individuals within the company, always maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.\nAdvises Security Associates on assigned shift of duties and responsibilities, and ensures that they are completed in a timely, efficient manner.\nMaintains appropriate staffing levels in the Security Department by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and terminating Associates, as needed.\nReviews all Daily Activity Reports and prepares Shift Reports for Director of Security.\nCoordinates with the Surveillance Department when Security discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention.\nFacilitates the flow of information throughout the department by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.\nObserves, documents, videotapes and reports any unusual or suspicious activities on property.\nRegularly inspects the premises, identifying potential safety or security hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution.\nReviews surveillance tapes and reports, providing detailed information to appropriate company officials and outside agencies, as needed.\nHeld accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.\nMake suggestions and recommendations, as appropriate, with regard to possible changes in the policies and procedures of other departments, with the protection of company assets in mind.\nMaintains a series of critical keys, accessing locked areas as necessary.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDirectly supervises the activities of all of the Security Associates on assigned shift.\nCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nQUALIFICATION REQUIRED:\nHigh School diploma or GED. \nMinimum of two years supervisory experience in security/surveillance.\nNew York State licensed Security Guard. \nAssociate's degree in Criminal Justice or related area preferred. \nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. \nAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.\nAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. \nSPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:\nKnowledge of, and experience with, closed circuit television equipment preferred. Minimum of two years in law enforcement, surveillance, or related area required. Must possess excellent observational and communication skills. Must be able to detect any schemes or cheating activity aimed at the company or its’ guests.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
