You’ll be working from a Portakabin on a busy operational yard and regularly moving between the cabin and the yard in all weather conditions. It can be cold, wet, muddy and noisy at times, so you’ll need to be comfortable working in a practical, industrial environment.\nIf you’re organised, resilient, comfortable using systems and happy working in a hands-on environment, this could be a great move for you.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nChecking HGV trailers in and out of the site using a tablet, making sure all information is recorded accurately\nCarrying out regular yard checks, ensuring trailer locations and availability are correctly reflected on our systems\nBooking compliance work, servicing and other required maintenance to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently\nAllocating and issuing work to technicians, helping the workshop keep jobs moving throughout the day\nRaising start-up numbers for external vendors and ensuring the relevant information is recorded correctly\nReserving trailers for customers using our in-house fleet management system\nCreating and updating customer rates within the system\nMaking sure our systems are kept accurate and up to date, including trailer movements, customer information and fleet status\nUploading and maintaining documents and compliance records\nUsing Excel for basic administration, tracking and operational tasks\nWorking closely with technicians, customers, vendors and the wider operations team to keep everything running smoothly\nWhat You’ll Bring\nGood administration and organisational skills with strong attention to detail\nConfidence using computer systems, tablets and other digital tools\nBasic Microsoft Excel experience\nGood customer service and communication skills with a professional telephone manner\nThe ability to prioritise different tasks in a busy operational environment\nA proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of your work\nComfortable working in a Portakabin and active HGV yard environment\nHappy working outside when required, including in cold, wet and poor weather conditions\nA practical attitude - this is an operational site, not a corporate office environment\nA good sense of humour - we work hard, but we like a laugh too\nWhy TIP?\nBecause culture isn’t a poster on the wall and it’s something you should feel every day.
