East, UK, Africa and Europe, and continues to extend its global reach and reputation as a leading international software provider.\nThe Role\nWe are looking for a Senior Database Developer - SQL Server to join our Engineering team.\nThis role is responsible for developing and maintaining database solutions, supporting production environments, resolving complex data issues, and performing data imports, migrations and corrections.\nA key focus of the role is the ability to safely investigate and fix production data, develop reliable SQL scripts, and work with tools such as PowerShell and SSIS to import and transform data.\nThe successful candidate will also have a good understanding of accounting concepts and ERP systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nDatabase Development\nParticipate in solution design and development of database solutions.\nDevelop and maintain Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, SQL scripts and database objects.\nExtract, analyse and mine data using SQL.\nOptimise complex SQL queries, Stored Procedures and Views.\nParticipate in database code reviews and provide technical guidance to other developers.\nAssess the impact of change requests and develop appropriate database solutions.\nProduction Data Support & Correction\nInvestigate and resolve complex production data issues.\nIdentify incorrect, missing, duplicated or inconsistent data and determine the root cause.\nDevelop and execute safe data correction scripts in production.\nAssess the impact of data changes before implementation.\nApply appropriate validation, backup and rollback strategies for production data changes.\nValidate corrected data and ensure the issue has been fully resolved.\nDocument data corrections, root causes and preventative actions.\nWork with Development, Support, BA and other teams to resolve data-related production issues.\nData Import, Migration & Conversion\nDevelop and execute data import and migration solutions using:\nSQL scripts\nSSIS\nOther appropriate data integration tools.\n\nPerform data mapping, transformation and validation.\nDevelop repeatable and reliable data import processes.\nAccounting & ERP Data\nGood understanding of accounting concepts and ERP systems.\nUnderstand how financial and transactional data is represented within an ERP/DMS.\nAbility to investigate and resolve data discrepancies while considering their business and financial impact.\nWork with BA and other stakeholders to validate data corrections and ensure the expected business outcome.\nDatabase Performance\nMonitor and troubleshoot database performance issues.\nAnalyse execution plans and query performance.\nOptimise SQL queries, Stored Procedures and database structures.\nTechnical Requirements\nEssential\n5+ years of strong SQL Server / SQL development experience.\nStrong T-SQL skills.\nStrong experience writing complex Stored Procedures and SQL scripts.\nStrong hands-on experience fixing and correcting data in production environments.\nExperience working with large and complex datasets.\nGood experience with SSIS.\nExperience with SQL Server Agent Jobs.\nStrong understanding of database performance tuning and indexing.\nStrong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.\nGood knowledge of accounting concepts and ERP systems.\nDesirable\nExperience supporting an ERP, DMS, Accounting or Financial system.\nExperience investigating data discrepancies.\nExperience working in a SaaS production environment.\nExperience working with Agile development methodologies.\nAI & Engineering Productivity\nTitan is adopting AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity.\nThe successful candidate should be comfortable using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot or similar for:\nSQL analysis and optimisation.\nInvestigating data issues.\nGenerating and reviewing SQL scripts.\nAnalysing complex datasets.\nCreating data validation scripts.\nTechnical documentation.\nTroubleshooting and root-cause analysis.\nAutomating repetitive database tasks.\nCandidates should be able to review and validate AI-generated output, particularly before executing
