a Software Engineer to learn and grow, while being part of an awesome growing team in Toronto.\nWhat you'll do:\nWrite, modify, integrate, and test software code for our server, web, and mobile applications\nConduct manual and automated tests, and analyze data to monitor quality, security, and user experience and to identify areas for improvement\nMonitor the functionality of the application, and identify and resolve issues and bugs\nAssist in the development of logical and physical specifications\nAssess the connections between programs to determine whether a proposed change in one area could affect another related area\nProgram animation and interactive features for web and mobile applications\nIdentify and communicate technical problems, processes, and solutions\nPrepare reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of the web application, and document new and updated software\nResearch and evaluate a variety of software products\nUse AI tooling to work faster across coding, testing, and documentation, while holding a high bar for what gets merged and deployed\nSkills:\nPositivity, passion, and creativity for Computer Science Engineering, or Computer Engineering\nMinimum 5 years of relevant work experience in software development\nProfessional experience building web applications and RESTful APIs with Python and Django\nProfessional experience building front-end applications with JavaScript or TypeScript and React\nExperience designing and querying relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL\nExperience with Git and CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitLab CI\nExperience deploying and running applications on Linux and AWS\nExperience writing automated tests with frameworks such as PyTest or Jest\nExperience developing and testing applications in Docker\nExperience applying secure coding practices, including the OWASP Top 10, authentication, role-based access control, and API security\nMust be able and willing to lawfully work out of our Toronto, Ontario office\nFluent written and verbal communication in English\nNice to have:\nExperience building integrations or add-ins for Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft 365\nExperience with infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform\nExperience with Azure\nExperience building software that handles sensitive or regulated data\nExperience working under a compliance program such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP\nExperience working in an Agile or Scrum team\nFluent use of AI coding assistants, with the judgment to review,
