Are you looking to build a long-term career in financial planning and wealth management?

Titan Pensions & Investments is seeking a motivated and ambitious Foundation Trainee to join our team on a structured six-month development programme. This unique rotational role has been designed to provide hands-on experience across both our Client Support and Paraplanning functions, giving you a comprehensive introduction to financial planning, client servicing, advice delivery and the regulatory environment. This is a full time office based role in Kettering.

During the programme, you will spend approximately:

- 3 months within Client Support

- 3 months within Paraplanning

At the end of the programme, your performance, strengths, career aspirations and business requirements will be assessed to determine progression into a permanent role within either the Client Support or Paraplanning team.

About the role

    Client Support Rotation

    During your Client Support placement, you'll learn how to deliver an exceptional client experience by:

  • Answering incoming calls from clients and providers professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintaining and updating client records across internal systems.
  • Processing client instructions, including withdrawals, contributions, valuations and reporting requests.
  • Liaising with platform providers and product providers to obtain information and resolve queries.
  • Submitting and tracking new business applications.
  • Investigating and progressing outstanding cases through to completion.
  • Providing regular updates to clients and advisers.
  • Supporting periodic activities such as annual tax packs and client reporting.
  • Developing a strong understanding of client service standards and operational processes.
  • Paraplanning Rotation

    During your Paraplanning placement, you'll gain exposure to the technical side of financial planning by:

  • Preparing annual review packs and supporting documentation for adviser meetings.
  • Assisting in the preparation of suitability reports and recommendation documents.
  • Conducting product, fund and provider research.
  • Supporting cashflow modelling and financial planning analysis.
  • Preparing new business submissions and platform instructions.
  • Maintaining accurate records across back-office systems.
  • Learning financial planning processes, compliance requirements and advice standards.
  • Developing technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection planning.

About you

    Essential

  • Educated to A-Level standard (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of GSCE level 5 in English and Maths
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • Positive attitude and genuine desire to learn and develop.
  • Desirable

  • Interest in financial services and financial planning.
  • Previous customer service or administrative experience.
  • Awareness of pensions, investments or personal finance.
  • Interest in studying towards professional financial planning qualifications.
