You’ll partner with product managers and engineers, guide design decisions across products, and mentor fellow designers.\nPrimary Responsibilities of the Role\nOwn design work end-to-end from discovery through delivery, including user research, journey mapping, user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and production-ready UI.\nHelp define and shape the future of Tithely’s unified platform by designing seamless, connected experiences across giving, church management, messaging, and web tools.\nPartner with product managers and engineers to understand problems, explore solutions, and make thoughtful tradeoffs. Work with the Head of Design to prioritize work across related product areas.\nLead research planning, customer interviews, and usability testing in partnership with CX. Synthesize and share findings to guide product priorities and improve shipped experiences.\nDeconstruct and simplify complex, multi-step workflows, ensuring digital products remain intuitive, accessible, and easy for church staff and members to learn and use.\nApply and evolve shared components and UX patterns with the design team to create consistent experiences across web and mobile.\nUse AI tools and rapid prototyping to explore ideas, test assumptions, and improve design workflows.\nChampion user advocacy across the organization while aligning design solutions with strategic business outcomes and technical architecture.\nLead thoughtful design critiques, share work early, and mentor other designers to strengthen craft and decision-making.\nQualifications\nA Successful Candidate Will:\nUse a Strategic Mindset by connecting design decisions to product goals and the broader customer experience.\nBe Tech Savvy by experimenting with useful tools, including AI, and applying them thoughtfully to improve design work.\nCommunicate Effectively by explaining design decisions and tradeoffs clearly to teammates and senior leaders.\nManage Complexity by turning complex workflows and competing requirements into clear, usable experiences.\nCollaborate by building strong partnerships with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers.\nBe Customer Focused by using customer research and feedback to address the real needs of church staff and members.\nRequired Technical Qualifications:\n5+ years of product design experience, including complex SaaS applications with multiple user roles and workflows.\nA portfolio showing strong visual and interaction design, your role in key decisions, and how research informed shipped product work.\nStrong Figma skills, including reusable components, interactive prototypes, and shared design libraries.\nExperience using AI tools to explore ideas, build prototypes, or improve design workflows, with examples of how they improved the work.\nProven experience planning, executing, and synthesizing qualitative user research and usability testing to directly influence product roadmaps.\nExperience collaborating with engineers to review builds, conduct design QA, and launch web and mobile products.\nExperience presenting design decisions and tradeoffs to senior leaders and cross-functional partners.\nExperience prioritizing design work across multiple related product areas.\n Preferred Technical Qualifications:\nDirect experience designing church management software (ChMS), giving/fintech tools, nonprofit software, or multi-role administrative platforms.\nFamiliarity with product analytics and behavioral data platforms (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude, FullStory, Pendo) to evaluate feature performance.\nPrior experience acting as a design lead, mentor, or player-coach within a collaborative product design team.\n Office Requirements:\nWe are a fully distributed team (100% remote) with travel sometimes required 1-2 times per year.\nA stable work environment with designated workspace and access to high-speed internet.\nUS-based and legally able to work full time in the US.
