You will work alongside the Building Services team while helping ensure our buildings, grounds, equipment, vehicles, and building systems remain safe, attractive, reliable, and well maintained.\nThe Building Services Supervisor reports to the Building Services Manager/Director and plays an important role in keeping daily operations organized, responsive, and focused on exceptional service to our residents.\nWhat You’ll Do\nProvide day-to-day leadership, work direction, training, and coaching to Building Services team members.\nHelp establish daily priorities, assign work, coordinate coverage, and follow up to ensure work is completed safely and to established standards.\nWork alongside the team performing general maintenance and repairs involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, equipment, and building systems.\nMonitor and prioritize resident and community work orders and service requests.\nInspect completed work and community areas for quality, safety, cleanliness, and needed corrective action.\nCoordinate and participate in preventative maintenance activities and inspections.\nAssist with scheduling, onboarding, attendance follow-up, performance feedback, and other supervisory responsibilities.\nRespond to urgent maintenance needs and participate in the department’s on-call rotation as assigned.\nAssist with unit refurbishments, repairs, remodels, moves, seasonal projects, and other community projects.\nCoordinate appropriately with contractors, vendors, other departments, residents, and families.\nHelp maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, preventative maintenance, and work-order records.\nReinforce safe work practices, department expectations, Touchmark Gold Standards, and our commitment to exceptional resident service.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nFive or more years of progressively responsible experience in general building, facilities, or maintenance work.\nGeneral industrial or commercial maintenance experience.\nPrevious experience providing work direction, training, coaching, or supervision to maintenance or facilities employees.\nStrong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, floor coverings, life safety systems, grounds maintenance, and general equipment repair.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to organize work, manage competing priorities, and provide effective direction during urgent situations.\nStrong communication skills and a professional, service-oriented approach when working with residents, families, team members, vendors, and contractors.\nBasic computer skills and experience with work-order or maintenance tracking systems.\nWorking knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.\nValid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and perform the physical requirements associated with building and grounds maintenance.\nPreferred: Experience in senior living, health care, hospitality, or a similar community environment.\nWhy Touchmark?\nAt Touchmark, our Building Services team does much more than maintain buildings.
