In this leadership role, you will oversee a team of engineers while managing a portfolio of capital improvement projects across various municipal sectors. This hybrid position offers a flexible work environment, allowing for a mix of remote work and in-office collaboration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in municipal engineering, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage both technical and client-facing aspects of projects.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTeam Leadership & Supervision - Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of municipal engineers, providing guidance, technical support, and professional development opportunities.\nProject Oversight - Oversee the preparation of engineering documents for municipal projects, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway, drainage, sewer, water, parks, and athletic fields improvements.\nProject Management - Manage multiple high-priority projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.\nField Inspections & Assessments - Conduct or oversee field inspections of infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with design standards and local regulations.\nReview & Approvals - Review municipal site plans, zoning applications, and subdivisions, preparing detailed technical reports and recommendations for Planning & Zoning Boards.\nClient Relations & Communication - Cultivate strong relationships with municipal clients, offering proactive communication and problem-solving expertise to ensure client satisfaction.\nQualifications:\nB.S in Civil Engineering or related field. \n10+ years of experience in Civil Engineering, including project management for design and construction projects. \nMust have Professional Engineer (PE) license. Professional Planner (PP) license a plus.\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.\nExperience in reviewing applications for Land Use Boards with availability for Municipal (Land Use Board, Council and/or Committee) night meetings.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to organize and manage multiple projects. \nAbility to work in a team environment, self-starter, demonstrated organization skills, team player and willingness to learn.\nT&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $120,000 - $155,000 .
