What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Lead freight and logistics consulting engagements across transport procurement, network optimisation and carrier strategy
- Conduct freight spend reviews and cost analysis to identify savings, service improvements and operational efficiencies
- Design and execute transport sourcing and tender processes across road, rail, air and sea freight
- Evaluate 3PL, 4PL, freight forwarding and transport provider solutions to support client requirements
- Analyse freight networks, routing, carrier performance and service levels to optimise logistics outcomes
- Build business cases, financial models and benchmarking analysis to support strategic decisions
- Facilitate client workshops and translate logistics challenges into practical, commercially viable solutions
- Develop freight strategies, procurement roadmaps and implementation plans
- Present recommendations and insights to senior stakeholders and executive teams
- Manage consulting projects to ensure delivery against scope, budget and quality objectives
- Collaborate across supply chain strategy, procurement and transformation teams
- Support business development activities and grow existing client relationships
What You Bring:
- Experience in freight, transport or logistics consulting, procurement, pricing or commercial operations
- Strong understanding of domestic and international freight markets, including road, rail, sea and air freight
- Experience managing transport tenders, carrier negotiations or freight procurement initiatives
- Background working within a 3PL, 4PL, freight forwarding, carrier or logistics services environment
- Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting freight data, rates, spend and service performance
- Experience developing business cases, commercial evaluations and cost-saving initiatives
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and client teams
- Strong project management and client relationship skills
- Advanced Excel and data modelling capability preferred
- Knowledge of transport management systems (TMS), freight analytics and logistics technologies advantageous
