It ensures maximum utilization of available manufacturing capacity, including labor, tools, and equipment.Responsibilities\nThe PDU Power Infrastructure Manager is the global owner and subject matter expert for the company's PDU infrastructure. This role is responsible for monitoring, alarming, firmware management, lifecycle planning, inventory strategy, and technology standardization across the global network footprint.\nThe role also partners closely with business units, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to forecast growth, develop capacity strategies, and ensure PDU infrastructure is aligned with current and future business needs.\nThe successful candidate will provide technical leadership for intelligent PDU platforms while developing long-term strategies that ensure a reliable, scalable, and supportable power infrastructure.\nQualifications\nKey Responsibilities\nPDU Infrastructure Management\nServe as the primary technical owner for all deployed PDU platforms globally.\n\nMaintain and manage approved PDU standards, product selections, and deployment guidelines.\n\nEvaluate new PDU technologies and provide recommendations for adoption and standardization.\n\nMonitoring & Firmware Management\nManage monitoring, alerting, and reporting for the global PDU estate through Nlyte and other approved monitoring platforms.\n\nDevelop and maintain alarm thresholds, escalation procedures, and operational standards.\n\nCoordinate firmware upgrades, security updates, and vulnerability remediation activities.\n\nLifecycle & Inventory Management\nDevelop and execute lifecycle management and replacement strategies for all PDU assets.\n\nTrack warranty, end-of-sale, end-of-support, and end-of-life milestones.\n\nMaintain accurate asset inventory and support forecasting for refresh and expansion initiatives.\n\nWork closely with business units to forecast growth and infrastructure demand, translating business requirements into PDU capacity plans, inventory forecasts, lifecycle replacement schedules, and budget recommendations.\n\nPartner with Procurement and Logistics to ensure adequate inventory is available for growth and replacement activities.\n\nVendor & Operational Support\nManage vendor relationships, product registrations, RMAs, and support escalations.\n\nMonitor market trends, product roadmaps, and supply chain risks.\n\nSupport emergency replacements and major incident response involving PDU infrastructure.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience\nExperience managing intelligent PDU infrastructure in enterprise, data center, or colocation environments.\n\nExperience with PDU monitoring, alarm management, firmware administration, and remote management platforms.\n\nExperience managing hardware lifecycle programs, inventory, and technology refresh initiatives.\n\nExperience working directly with equipment vendors and support organizations.\n\nTechnical Skills\nStrong knowledge of intelligent PDUs and power distribution technologies.\n\nUnderstanding of SNMP, infrastructure monitoring, and alerting platforms.\n\nKnowledge of firmware management and vulnerability remediation processes.\n\nUnderstanding of data center power concepts, including voltage, amperage, load balancing, and redundancy.\n\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience\nExperience with APC/Schneider Electric, Vertiv, Geist, Raritan, or similar PDU platforms.\n\nExperience with Nlyte or other DCIM tools.\n\nExperience supporting global infrastructure deployments.\n\nExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and asset lifecycle planning.\n\nSkills\nPower BI or data analytics experience.\n\nAutomation or scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, APIs).\n\nProject management experience.\n\nVendor management and contract administration experience.\n\nIdeal Candidate\nThe ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing enterprise PDU environments and can assume responsibility for monitoring, alarm management, firmware governance, lifecycle planning, inventory strategy, and vendor engagement. This individual will serve as the organization's primary subject matter expert for PDU infrastructure.\nFor US candidates, we anticipate paying $90,000 - $105,000 annually. Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided, considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
