This role reports in to our Global Network Infrastructure Engineering Department and will be involved in system-wide complex components and/or complex projects. You will provide direction for entire projects or a project team.Responsibilities\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:\nKey contributor\nYour work will be critical to project success\nYour influence will be at the customer management level\nYou may be called upon to solve highly technical, complex problems\nYou may be called on to consult for other projects\nEngineering, deployment, and support of the TNS Global IP backbone network\nDelivery of Ethernet based services, as defined by the Metro Ethernet Forum\nRouting protocol design and support (BGP, ISIS, EIGRP, OSPF, PIM)\nWAN/LAN topology design and support\nMPLS design and support\nData Center design and support\nLoad Balancer design and support\nVendor/hardware assessment and recommendations\nEquipment/Design specifications in support of budgetary planning\nIdentify issues and recommend appropriate action/resolution\nProvide guidance to other team members, FRcilities processes & transfer technical skills knowledge\nQualifications\nQualifications:\n7+ years of design and operations experience in large scale multiprotocol global IP/ISP networks\n5+ years of experience and expert in TCP/IP and routing protocols (RSVP, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM, BFD, and FRst Reroute technologies)\n3+ years of experience with architecture and provisioning of MPLS networks and services including Traffic Engineering, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, VPLS, Circuit Emulation, IPSec, VPNs, IP Multicast, and QOS/COS\n5+ years of experience in layer-2 Ethernet technologies\n3+ years working knowledge of Data Center design and operation\nExpertise in current industry WAN technologies/products (SONET, SDH, TDM, Metro Ethernet, etc.)\n5+ years of extensive hands-on experience with the configuration, debugging, and problem resolution of complex Cisco and/or Juniper based networks\nExperienced with command-line interFRces, and skilled in effective use of various network monitoring and analysis tools such as SolarWinds, SPLUNK, and similar tools\nOptional Desired Qualifications:\nIP Multicast\nHands-on experience with Service Provider class Juniper and Cisco routers and switches\nServer Load-Balancing\nUNIX/Linux Experience\nTraffic Generator Experience\nProject Management Experience\nPERL programming and XML based management experience\nEducation and Certifications:\nB.S. (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
