As a Senior Real-Time Linux Developer, you will work closely with hardware engineers and front-end developers to build high-performance systems that interface with custom FPGA-based SmartNICs. You will have a key role in assessing project feasibility and solution design. And you will be the subject matter expert, helping to guide and mentor newer team members.Responsibilities\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of experience in low-level Linux development using C or C++ in a real-time / embedded environment.\n\nKnowledge of networking fundamentals (PHY/MAC, Ethernet, vlans, UDP unicast/multicast, IGMP, TCP, PTP etc.) and linux-based IP networking.\n\nExperience interfacing linux with custom hardware devices.\n\nProficient in high-performance programming, performance tuning and system-level debugging.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with AMD / Solarflare SmartNICs and high-performance network stacks, e.g. ef_vi, solarflare onload.\n\nKnowledge of other high-performance networking technologies at layer 1 and above.\n\nKnowledge of advanced time synchronization methods (e.g., PTP, White Rabbit).\n\nGeneral familiarity with digital design and the FPGA development process.\n\nFeasibility analysis and solution design.\n\nSoft Skills:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration abilities.\n\nSelf-directed and comfortable working in a small, fast-moving, cross-functional team.\n\nAbility to guide and mentor more junior team members.\n\nBenefits:\nCompetitive salary and benefits.\n\nHybrid working environment.\n\nGain experience of very high performance real-time financial networks working for a leading global financial technology and services company.\n\nQualifications\nIf you are passionate about technology, love personal growth and opportunity, come see what TNS is all about!\nTNS is an equal opportunity employer.
