As part of a vibrant and entrepreneurial working culture you will be assessed on your creativity and ability to contribute within the scope of your role and experience.\nThis role will work within the software architecture and design direction provided by senior technical stakeholders and the TNS Global Architecture Function, contributing to the development of systems that meet required qualities such as modifiability, availability, and security.\nResponsibilities:\nEssential responsibilities include:\nAssistingwith analysis, problem-solving,developmentand delivery of maintainable and efficient software solution elements across TNS’ business capabilities.\n\nDevelop software which meets or exceeds TNS’ quality and performance standards.\n\nFunction collaboratively as a member of a professional technology team engaged in the structured andtimelydelivery of technology solutions.\n\nPursue self-improvement,innovationand the adoption of best practice to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the team.\n\nDevelop and execute test plans that thoroughly test applications and allow for quality implementation of applications.\n\nPrepare andmaintaindocumentation of applications and systems.\n\nCommunicate status,issuesand risks with leadersin a timely manner.\n\nDeliver outcomes that fit within the design direction and architectural boundaries provided by the design team and senior developers.\n\nContribute to a consistent and improving level of quality within the code base, working with the Quality Assurance team to support an efficient, high quality test capability.\n\nProvide delivery outcomes that minimize impact on operations while supporting third-level support activities and contributing to the stability of TNS’ enterprise applications.\n\nExperience/ Qualifications:\nExperience developing Java and J2EE applications.\n\nStrong experience developing with Spring & Hibernate based Java applications and libraries.\n\nGood knowledge of distributed system APIs including SOAP/REST services & clients.\n\nExperience developing with JavaScript, ideally including experience withJQuery, AngularJS, Angular, React and TypeScript.\n\nCan work independently and/or in a team.\n\nDemonstrated experience contributing to work item estimates.\n\nAbility to manage time effectively, working towards and meeting agreed deadlines.\n\nExperience preparing andmaintainingdocumentation of applications and systems\n\nOptional Desired Qualifications:\nExperience working within a Scrum team and understand the various Scrum roles.\n\nExperience writing User Stories and acceptance criteria.\n\nExperience with Atlassian suite of products such as Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo and Confluence.\n\nExperience with test-driven development using JUnit and Selenium.\n\nExperience with design documentation.\n\nBasic knowledge of: PostgreSQL, ActiveMQ, JMS, Spring Security, Quartz, Camel, CXF and JSON libraries.\n\nExperience with Maven, Gradle or Ant for building applications andmaintainingdependencies.\n\nExperience in using JSPs, GWT, Spring MVC and Web Services.\n\nGood understanding of HTML, PHP,AJAXand CSS.\n\nFamiliarity with basic AWS concepts and services including EC2, S3, CloudWatch, CloudFormation and Lambda\n\nExperience with automation tools such as ansible, docker, Kubernetes, chef, puppet\n\nExperience with Linux operating environments\n\nProficiencywith AI coding assistants and a strong conceptual grasp of generative AI development workflows\n\nEducation / Certifications:\nComputer science degree or equivalent work experience within a professional software environment.\n\nPayment industry experience highly desired\n\nQualifications\nIf you are passionate about technology, love personal growth and opportunity, come see what TNS is all about!\nTNS is an equal opportunity employer.
