As a member of the Enterprise Sports & Entertainment team, you will help deliver the most important features for our Sports & Entertainment and hospitality customers and directly impact Toast’s success.\nA day in the life (Responsibilities)\nDesign, build, deploy, and maintain highly resilient and scalable features across Toast’s Sports & Entertainment product offerings\nLead complex projects that improve functionality and reliability for our customers \nPartner with a wide array of teams across Toast \nEnsure quality by building automated testing for changes\nRoll* features out to customers, including monitoring for success\nPartner closely with Design and Product on the definition and design of features\nPartner with cross-functional functions including Customer Success, Solutions, Sales, Care, and Onboarding to ensure technical deliverables align with enterprise customer expectations and long-term strategy\nMentor and coach other engineers\nLeverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance your development workflow, improve velocity, and help pioneer new approaches to building - contributing to a culture of innovation and productivity across the team.\nWhat you'll need to thrive (Requirements)\n8+ years experience building backend services and APIs\nExtensive experience working with an Object Oriented Language like Java or Kotlin, with a deep understanding of testing, quality, and best practices\nExperience shipping production services and balancing getting things done with platform stability and reliability\nExperience building backend services and APIs and scaling distributed systems\nExperience building android applications with kotlin is a plus\nExperience building front end applications is a plus\nFocused on delivering positive impact for Toast customers\nEnjoys working in a team environment with a shared code-base\nExcellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics\nAI at Toast\nAt Toast, one of our company values is that we're hungry to build and learn.
