We support high-growth payment operations with multi-currency transactions, crypto payments, and complex corporate structures.\nThe Business Analyst on our team holds a strategic role at the intersection of business, product, and engineering. You will translate the needs of merchants, compliance, and risk management into clear specifications that enable the development team to build things right the first time.\nKey challenges you will work on:\n\n• Consolidating multiple payment platforms into one with minimal operational risk\n\n• Integrating with new acquirers and payment providers via REST API\n\n• Building a flexible transaction routing system (smart routing) accounting for MID performance\n\n• Standardizing chargeback, dispute, and rolling reserve processing workflows\n\n• Translating PCI DSS, AML/KYC requirements into functional specifications\nRequirements:\n\n• 3+ years in a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst role\n\n• Required: experience in fintech, payment systems, or banking\n\n• Experience with payment processes: acquiring, processing, PSP/PayFac — preferred\n\n• Participation in Agile/Scrum teams: grooming, planning, retrospectives\n\n• Proficiency in BPMN 2.0, UML (Use Case Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Activity Diagram)\n\n• Understanding of the transaction lifecycle: auth → capture → settlement → reconciliation\n\n• Knowledge of dispute resolution and chargeback processes (Visa / Mastercard rules)\n\n• Experience with REST API documentation: reading, writing, testing via Postman / Swagger\n\n• Basic understanding of PCI DSS scope, AML/KYC requirements in the context of payment systems\n\n• Proficiency with tools: Confluence, Notion, Jira / Linear, Miro / Lucidchart\nPersonal Qualities\n\n• Systems thinking: sees the process as a whole, not just within the scope of a task\n\n• High attention to detail in specifications and edge cases\n\n• Proactive: asks the right questions, doesn't wait for a ready-made spec\n\n• Clear written and verbal communication in English\n\n• Comfortable at the intersection of business and technology; doesn't shy away from developer\n\nconversations\nResponsibilities:\n\nRequirements & Documentation\n\n• Gathering business requirements from stakeholders: commercial, risk, compliance, merchants\n\n• Writing functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria (Definition of Done)\n\n• Modeling business processes in BPMN 2.0 notation — AS-IS and TO-BE\n\n• Maintaining and updating product documentation in Confluence / Notion\nPayment Processes\n\n• Describing and optimizing payment flows: authorization, clearing, settlement, refunds, chargebacks\n\n• Analyzing and documenting transaction routing logic and waterfall strategies\n\n• Gap analysis during platform consolidation and merchant migration\n\n• Supporting integrations with acquirers and PSP providers via REST API / ISO 8583\nTeam Collaboration\n\n• Active participation in grooming, sprint planning, UAT, and demos\n\n• Close collaboration with Product Owner, developers, and QA\n\n• Communication with compliance/risk on regulatory requirements (PCI DSS, AML/KYC)\n\n• Preparing training materials for operations teams and
