The Maintenance B position must qualify for this role via an assessment evaluation. Through this formal assessment, the employee earns either a solidly skilled or skilled achievement designation(s) in specified functional areas.\n\nSkills assessments may cover the following functional areas and can vary by plant location:\nElectrical\nInstrumentation\nInsulation\nLubrication\nMechanical\nMillwright\nPainting\nPipefitting\nRefractory\nVibration\nWelding\n15-ton crane operation\nGeneral Skills\nEssential Functions:\nMaintain and repair production or processing machines and equipment rapidly to reduce production lag\nAssist with the planning and execution of all department assigned tasks and work orders\nMonitor and maintain various plan equipment to support optimal occupational health and safety, quality assurance and equipment efficiency\nProactively respond to issues and deficiencies with recommended solutions and clearly communicate resolution process to his/her supervisor and other levels of management\nTimely communicate critical information regarding jobs, assignments, tasks, work orders, inspection forms, job completion check-off sheets, etc. to supervisor\nRoutinely uses a variety of hand or power tools to address machinery, equipment or production component issues/deficiencies\nMay use a variety of specific disciplines (i.e. Mechanical, Welding, Instrumentations, Electrical, Computers, Vibration or Refractory) to perform maintenance objectives on a variety of equipment\nSupport, encourage and regularly practice approved safety procedures and protocols\nRegular attendance is required\nRegularly review, support and execute ISO responsibilities defined by the department\nComprehend and respond accordingly to environmental safety procedures and mandates\nOther duties as assigned by supervisor\nRequired Education & Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nAbility to read, interpret and understand safety manuals, policies and procedures\nPreferred Education & Experience:\n0-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment\n0-3 years of general machinery welding experience\nStrong mechanical and operational aptitude in a manufacturing
