Please consider joining our Talent Community so that we may continue to engage with you.\nJob Description\nMaterials Handler II-Contract Position\nLocation: Chaska, MN\n2 Positions are available\nResponsibilities:\nPerforms the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment\nChecks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items\nPackages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges\nLifts heavy items and may operate a forklift\nPrepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped\nReviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines\nManaging the non-inventory items stored for each business unit (moving, labeling, and updating holding lists)\nResponsible for managing all items allocated for scrap and coordinating with scrap supplier\nManages storage requests for special projects/shipments\nWarehouse storage management and space allocation\nCoordinate crating requests for all special needs return materials authorizations\nOccasional special projects with Logistics area that utilize capabilities of the enterprise to meet Safety, Quality or Compliance goals.\nQualifications:\nDemonstrate mechanical aptitude including ability to use hand tools\nApplies general math skills including fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division\nFamiliar with SAP inventory management a plus\nAbility to speak distinctly and see and hear clearly\nAdhere to safety procedures consistent with the use of hand and power tools\n1st shift Monday - Friday and potential for occasional on call weekend work\nPhysical Demands and Work Conditions\nThe physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Duties also include application of proper industry safety procedures when working with dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional travel to TEL factories, training facilities and customer locations may be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. A clean room garment may be required to be worn for lengthy periods of time. PPE is Required including, not limited to, consistent wearing of safety glasses, safety shoes and a bump cap. Job duties may require walking up to and in excess of 10,000 steps and walking up and down multiple flights of stairs per shift (12 hours).
