Reporting to the Country Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, growing existing customer relationships, and contributing to the continued success of Toll Global Forwarding. This role is ideal for an emerging sales professional looking to build a rewarding career in logistics and freight forwarding while making a meaningful impact on customer growth and business performance.\nThis position can be based in either Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington.\nA day in the life of a Business Development Manager at Toll Group\nIdentify and pursue new business opportunities across targeted industries and territories.\n\nGrow existing customer accounts through cross-selling and solution-based selling.\n\nBuild strong customer relationships and develop a deep understanding of customer supply chain needs.\n\nContribute to RFQs, customer proposals and bid response activities.\n\nMaintain accurate sales activity, pipeline and customer information in CRM systems.\n\nWork collaboratively with operational and product teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.\n\n1-2 years’ experience in sales, logistics or customer service.\n\nFreight forwarding or logistics industry exposure will be highly regarded.\n\nDemonstrated ability to build customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.\n\nIntermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.\n\nWillingness to learn CRM platforms and sales methodologies.\n\nSkills & Experience\nStrong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.\n\nCustomer-focused approach with a passion for business development.\n\nAbility to manage priorities and work effectively across a sales territory.\n\nCommercial awareness and an eagerness to develop industry knowledge.\n\nSelf-motivated, adaptable and results-driven.\n\nHigh levels of integrity, professionalism and accountability.\n\nWhat moves you?\nAt Toll, you can help play a vital role in delivering what matters.
