Will perform high volume of customs clearances processes and provide dedicated customer service\nPRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerforms audit and review on all assigned brokerage files and payments to customs\nProperly classifies the commercial invoices using the US Tariff Book and CROSS as a reference tool\nPerforms data entry of import AMS information and HTS# - Including transmission to US Customs\nPrepares entry documentation including 7501 and 3461\nSpecializes in remote location filing\nAssists with maintaining compliance measures for import operation - Maintain document compliance\nEnsures that proper documentation and procedures are maintained in accordance with U.S. Customs standards\nAssists and answers customer inquiries and other related customer service functions\nArranges both delivery and the invoicing of the import account for services rendered\nEnsures timely filing of ISF 72 hours prior to shipment leaving last origin port\nEnsures files are audited prior to paying statement on 9th day\nPrepares delivery orders, sends to trucker, follows up with POD\nProcesses documents through the Company's ABI system, obtaining Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate\nReviews and monitors all Customs rejections and requests for information for clients\nPerforms other duties as assigned by management\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThis position is generally sedentary in nature; involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.\nAbility to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. required.\nAbility to talk and hear required.\nAbility to perform repetitive motions required.\nAbility to occasionally move inside the office\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position for x amount of time\nAbility to move or position self in order to reach, lift, climb, balance, stoop and crouch required.\nAbility to read PC screens; detect color coding, read fine print, and/or normal type size print required.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\nEssential Minimum Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nMinimum of two (2) years’ experience in logistics/freight forwarding industry, preferred\nPreferred Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nMinimum of two (2) years’ experience in logistics/freight forwarding industry\nSKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB\nTechnical\nWindows Operating System\nMS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)\nStrong Communication Skills\nBusiness\nDemonstrated critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks, and identifying alternative solutions or approaches\nProven ability to handle confidential information with discretion\nAbility to multi-task and work independently\nTime management skills\nStrong communication skills\nHuman Relations\nSelf-motivated, with an ability to self-manage\nStrong interpersonal/communication skills\nPay Transparency:\nIn compliance with applicable state and local laws, the salary range for this position varies based on the work location.
