We are proudly part of Japan Post - www.tollgroup.com\nPRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nCoordinate ocean shipments for import, including booking and documentation.\nLiaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport providers to facilitate cargo movement.\nPrepare and process essential documentation such as bills of lading and customs declarations.\nTrack shipments and update internal systems (e.g., CargoWise One); notify stakeholders of delays or changes.\nArrange local transport and warehouse interactions for cargo pick-up and delivery.\nMaintain accurate shipment records and ensure compliance with customs and maritime regulations.\nRespond to customer inquiries and provide booking confirmations promptly.\nSupport invoicing and basic cost entry tasks as directed by senior team members.\nAssist with general administrative tasks to ensure smooth operational workflow.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\nEssential Minimum Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED\n1-2 years’ experience in ocean freight or logistics operations (entry-level candidates with relevant training may be considered).\nBasic understanding of customs and maritime regulations.\nFamiliarity with freight management systems and Microsoft Office.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.\nTeam-oriented with a proactive and customer-focused approach.\nWillingness to learn and take on varied operational tasks.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThis position is generally sedentary in nature; involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.\nAbility to occasionally lift to 10 lbs. required.\nAbility to talk and hear required.\nAbility to perform repetitive motions required.\nAbility to occasionally move inside the office.\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours.\nAbility to move or position self to reach, lift, climb, balance, stoop and crouch required.\nAbility to read PC screens; detect colour coding, read fine print, and/or normal type size print required.\nSKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB\nTechnical\nKnowledge of Global forwarding operations\nComputer skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office\nExperience dealing with customers, with a strong customer focus and service ethic\nMethodical, planned and organised with strong attention to detail\nGood time management\nCargowise one system software experience preferred\nBusiness\nResults-orientated and resilient\nStrong numerical and analytical skills\nAnalytical with proven problem-solving skills\nFollows procedure\nPlanning, organisation, and execution skills\nClient focused with strong service ethic and skills\nHuman Relations\nInterpersonal/Communication skills, especially listening\nExcellent written/verbal communication skills\nTeam worker, with a natural tendency towards collaboration\nESSENTIAL PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES\nEnergetic, with a positive attitude\nSelf-confident and willing to take responsibility\nKeen to learn and grow\nAbility to balance & meet the expectations of the client, Toll & shareholders\nSelf-management - takes responsibility for tasks, agreed timeframes and outputs\nAttention to detail\nFlexible to changing priorities and operational needs\nAmbition to progress their career within Global Forwarding\nExceptional personal standards of honesty, integrity and professionalism\nResults orientated; achievement driven\nIntelligent, lateral thinker\nInitiative & leadership, confident self-starter\nPositive attitude\nRespect & empathy\nPay Transparency:\nIn compliance with applicable state and local laws, the salary range for this position varies based on the work location. Please review the ranges below:\nExpected base pay range: (CA, IL, NY) $22.88/hour- $38.94/hour\nThis range represents the salary range for this position in these locations.
