At Toll Group, we are proud to be expanding our Government and Defence portfolio through the Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) contract.\nWe’re looking for a skilled Trasport Planner with Supply Chain Logistics experience in Warehouse & Transport to help support the achievement of service performance and contractual targets by maintaining visibility over order flow, identifying risks or delays, and working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery plans are met. We are seeking Australian Citizens for this role as you will be subject to completing and passing a Government Security Clearance.\nThe Transport Planner plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day administrative and customer service operations under the Government & Defence contract. This role is responsible for accurate data entry, document control, reporting support, and frontline customer service activities that contribute to efficient warehouse and distribution operations.\nBased at RAAF Edinburgh in Edinburgh SA you’ll act as a critical bridge between warehouse, customer service, and operational teams to consolidate consignments, manage transport bookings, and optimise route and carrier utilisation. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will:\nPlan, coordinate, and confirm transport movements, ensuring alignment with capacity, and delivery windows\nUse ERP/WMS and Transport Management Systems (TMS) to manage bookings, run sheets, and tracking\nMonitor transport carrier performance and collaborate with internal teams to improve delivery reliability\nCoordinate with warehouses to optimise loading, consolidation, and despatch activities\nSupport incident reporting, track and trace, and proof-of-delivery follow-ups in collaboration with customer service\nProvide input to performance reports and assist with carrier utilisation analysis\nContribute to route optimisation, cost reduction, and service improvement initiatives\nEscalate service failures or customer-impacting issues to\nOperational Manager and relevant operational leads\nWhat you’ll bring\nWe’re looking for motivated professionals who bring:\n3-5 years’ experience in business analysis, reporting, or process improvement. \nExperience in supply chain, logistics, Defence contracts, or complex operations (preferred). \nHold a valid Truck Licence (MR, HR, HC or MC Licence) as you will be requested to complete some deliveries when required by management\nHold a valid LF Forklift Lic\nRelevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or related fields will be highly regarded, along with formal Business Analysis training or certification. \nStrong requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement skills. \nProficiency with Excel and data visualisation/reporting tools (Power BI, SQL). \nUnderstanding of ERP/WMS systems and their integration with operations. \nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to present analysis clearly to non-technical audiences. \nStrong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on problem solving. \nEligibility to make the grade\nTo apply for this role, you must:\nBe an Australian Citizen. \nHold a valid truck license (Mr, HR, HC or MC Licence)\nAbility to supply a copy of a 5yrs Traffic Report outlining your demerit points history\nBe eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance (Baseline or higher). \nBe prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including criminal history, medical, and other background assessments. \nNext Steps\nSubmit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and what motivates you to work with us via the “apply ” link.\nApply now and help deliver what matters - directly supporting Australia’s Defence capability.\nWhat moves you?\nAt Toll, you can help play a vital role in delivering what matters.
