Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Alterations Professional to provide expert tailoring and garment alteration services for custom clothing. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in precision craftsmanship and delivering exceptional quality.

Compensation:

Responsibilities, Requirements, and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality alterations on custom garments, including suits, jackets, trousers, and shirts
• Execute precise fittings and adjustments to ensure optimal garment fit and client satisfaction
• Work independently to manage alteration requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain consistent quality standards and attention to detail across all garments
• Communicate effectively regarding timelines, garment needs, and any alteration considerations

Requirements:

• Must own and maintain all necessary sewing and tailoring equipment
• Proven experience in alterations and tailoring, specifically with custom or high-end garments
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
• Reliable, professional, and responsive communication skills
• Provide references
• Show examples of work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with luxury or made-to-measure clothing
• Ability to handle complex alterations and specialty fabrics
• Flexible availability to meet business needs
• Demonstrate the ability to ask clarifying questions when instructions or expectations are unclear
• Proactively communicate when a requested alteration cannot reasonably be completed due to insufficient fabric/materials time constraints, cost-effectiveness, or other limitations
