Engineers, modernizes, and maintains scalable data architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data platform infrastructure to support high-volume analytics, data science, and AI/ML workloads. The position requires an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (CIP).\nPrimary Responsibilities\nArchitect end-to-end distributed data pipelines to ingest, clean, enrich, and model heterogeneous data from diverse sources.\nDesign, optimize, and maintain relational, non-relational, and cloud data warehouses/lakes.\nImplement data quality validation, lineage tracking, cataloging, and security/governance controls.\nCollaborate with data scientists and software developers to productionize data models and streamline analytical queries.\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications:\n3+ years of experience designing cloud-native data platforms in AWS\n2+ years of experience designing scalable data lake, warehouse, and analytics solutions\n2+ years of experience with cloud migration and modernization efforts\n2+ years of experience with data pipelines (data acquisition, data prep, database architecture)\nExperience supporting data science, AI/ML implementations, and BI dashboards\nExperience with non-relational and semi-relational databases\nExperience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured/unstructured data\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science\nExperience with team lead functions and cross-functional team collaboration\nActive TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (CIP) required.\nMust work on-site in McLean, VA.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with PySpark and Spark ecosystems (Databricks, EMR)\nExperience evaluating data analytic/science technologies and platforms\nExperience going through A&A process or leading modifications\nExperience with cloud architecture and selecting cloud analytics architectures\nExperience with data marts, data warehouses, and complex operational data flows\nExperience with Git/GitHub, AWS deployment, scripting (Python, SQL), and API development\nAWS Architecture Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect)\nBenefits\nSalary\nSalary for this position is determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific budget considerations.\nProposed Salary Range: $135,000 -
