Love being on your feet, chatting with people and getting stuck in? This could be your kind of job. At TOMRA, no two days are the same and we’re looking for friendly, hands-on people who aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and give it a go.

In this role, you’ll be right in the action helping keep our depot running smoothly. You’ll meet and greet customers, give them a hand getting their bottles and cans from car to machine and show them how our Container Deposit Scheme machines work . You’ll also help keep the site clean, safe and running like a well-oiled machine.

We’re looking for someone who can work independently, bring good energy to the team and be the go-to friendly face that locals recognise. If you enjoy helping people, staying active and being part of something that makes a real difference in the community and for the environment, you’ll fit right in.

Some answers to commonly asked questions about this role:

• Role is split across our Sunbury and Craigieburn depots
• Pay rate for adults is paid at Level 2 Waste Management Award.
• Casual role- 3/4 7.6 hour shifts per week + ad hoc leave cover
• Federal police check, pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screen) and reference checks are part of the background process for employment.

What makes a great Recycling Centre Attendant at TOMRA:

• Customer service experience
• Cleaning or maintenance experience
• High level of communication (verbal and written)
• First aid and/or fire warden certification (Not required but is highly regarded)
• Safety mindset
