We’re looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to take ownership of all HSE matters across TOMRA Collection UK operations covering offices, warehouses, Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) sites, and partner locations.\nThis is a pivotal role ensuring compliance with UK legislation and TOMRA’s Safe Management System (TSMS), while driving a proactive safety culture. You’ll act as the primary source of HSE expertise, supporting the UK organisation and leading initiatives that protect our people, customers, and partners.\nWhat You’ll Do\nEnsure Legal Compliance\nAdhere to UK HSE legislation (e.g., Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR, COSHH, Fire Safety, Mental Health at Work Act 2025).\n\nMaintain and Improve Policies\nUpdate TOMRA’s HSE policies and procedures to meet statutory and company requirements.\n\nRisk Management\nDevelop, implement, and review risk assessments and safe systems of work across all operations.\n\nIncident & Audit Oversight\nLead incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions; manage internal/external audits and maintain documentation.\n\nTraining & Culture\nDeliver engaging HSE training and promote a proactive safety culture using leading and lagging indicators.\n\nStakeholder Engagement\nAct as the main contact for UK regulators, auditors, customers, and partners; provide HSE input in RFP/tender processes.\n\nDigital & Emerging Risks\nSupport digital transformation of HSE systems; monitor emerging risks like automation, climate resilience, and mental health.\n\nEmergency, Sustainability & Reporting\nLead emergency response planning, environmental compliance, wellbeing initiatives, contractor standards, and report on HSE KPIs and annual performance.\n\nTravel across the UK when required be expected\n\nWhat You Bring\nProven experience in HSE management within multi-site operations.\nStrong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\nAbility to lead initiatives and influence positive change.\nA collaborative approach with a passion for safety and sustainability.\n Why TOMRA?\nJoin a global leader committed to innovation and sustainability.
