Since inception, the company has grown to become one of the most reputable pharmacies in Nigeria, with several branches located in various parts of the country.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Sales Assistant \n\nLocation: All Branches\n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nDepartment: Finance / Retail Operations\n\nReports To: Branch Manager / Superintendent Pharmacist.\n\nJob Summary\n\n The Cashier is responsible for handling all financial transactions within the pharmacy and superstore in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.\n\n The role involves receiving payments, issuing receipts, maintaining cash accountability, and ensuring excellent customer service while complying with company policies and regulatory standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nTransaction Processing:\n\n Receive and process payments (cash, POS, transfers) for goods and services.\n\n Accurately issue receipts and invoices to customers.\n\n Ensure correct pricing, discounts, and promotions are applied.\n\n Balance cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.\n\nCustomer Service:\n\n Greet customers warmly and attend to them in a professional manner.\n\n Respond to inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies.\n\n Handle customer complaints politely and escalate when necessary.\n\n Maintain a friendly and welcoming checkout environment.\n\nCash Handling & Accountability:\n\n Maintain proper custody of cash and prevent shortages or overages.\n\n Perform daily cash reconciliation and report discrepancies immediately.\n\n Ensure all transactions are properly recorded in the system.\n\n Safeguard POS machines and other financial tools.\n\nSales Support:\n\n Support sales activities by promoting ongoing offers and products.\n\n Cross-sell and upsell pharmacy and supermarket items where appropriate.\n\n Assist customers in locating products when necessary.\n\nRecord Keeping & Reporting:\n\n Maintain accurate transaction records and daily sales reports.\n\n Prepare end-of-day financial summaries.\n\n Assist in stock documentation when required.\n\nCompliance & Controls:\n\n Adhere strictly to company financial policies and procedures.\n\n Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.\n\n Prevent fraud, theft, or misuse of company resources.\n\nStore Operations Support:\n\n Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area.\n\n Assist in stock arrangement and shelf monitoring when required.\n\n Support inventory counts and audits when assigned.\n\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\n\n Accuracy in transactions (zero or minimal errors)\n\n Daily cash balancing compliance\n\n Customer satisfaction ratings\n\n Speed and efficiency of service\n\n Reduction in cash discrepancies\n\n Upselling contribution to sales\n\nQualifications & Requirements\n\n Minimum of HND/BSC (additional qualifications are an advantage)\n\n Proven experience as a cashier or in a retail environment (pharmacy experience is an added advantage)\n\n Basic knowledge of accounting principles\n\n Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills\n\n Strong numerical and analytical skills\n\nSkills & Competencies:\n\n Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\n\n High level of integrity and honesty\n\n Attention to detail and accuracy\n\n Ability to work under pressure\n\n Good customer service orientation\n\n Time management and multitasking abilities\n\nWorking Conditions:\n\n May involve weekend and shift work\n\n Fast-paced retail and healthcare environment\n\nAdditional Requirements:\n\n Professional appearance and conduct\n\n Ability to handle confidential financial information\n\n Team player with a positive attitude.\n\nApplication Closing Date\n\n30th October, 2026.\n\nMethod of Application\n\nInterested and qualified candidate should send their updated CV and cover letter to: [email] using \"Sales Assistant/ cashierApplication -
