You will work towards specific outcomes with the freedom and responsibility to figure out the best route to achieve them, collaborating with other engineers, data scientists, and product members. Within the Product & Tech organization, you will work toward generating the smartest possible recommendations for our users. Your work will ensure they are matched with the best meals at the right time, which in turn will result in more meals saved and improved user retention.\nYour Mission\nAs a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be part of a team dedicated to delivering a step-change in personalization for our consumer marketplace. You will of course collaborate with your counterparts in other product teams, and will be part of the broader ML and tech communities at Too Good To Go. Your work will directly impact millions of users by improving our surplus food management solutions and personalizing their experience.\nTech Stack\nOur models are written in Python, supported by SQL to retrieve data. Our models are built, evaluated, and productionised using our MLOps team's platform, which is based on Metaflow. The full Machine Learning stack includes: GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Airflow, OpenSearch, and Redshift.\nResponsibilities\nWorking on researching, building, and designing different machine-learning models for marketing personalization.\n\nRunning experiments, evaluating, and using the results to improve machine learning models and algorithms.\n\nWorking end-to-end to solve problems with a product and customer-oriented mindset.\n\nBuilding and deploying models in production.\n\nInvolvement in developing statistical models.\n\nCollaborating with the rest of the team to improve our product and solve customer problems.\n\nThe Ideal Candidate\nHas established experience within a similar role.\n\nExperience using Python and deploying to production.\n\nFirst-hand experience with ML libraries, frameworks, and tools, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Prophet, DeepAR, etc.\n\nDegree educated within a technical field (Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree).\n\nExperience in a cloud environment (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).\n\nBonus: experience with dbt, Snowflake, Airflow, or Metaflow; experience in complex ML system design; and experience in statistical hypothesis testing.\n\nWhat We Offer\nDevelop and maintain the backbone of our personalization engine, which is used by millions of users every day to support their efforts to combat food waste.\n\nAn opportunity to work in a global social-impact company where you can see a real and tangible impact in your role.\n\nTo be an integral member of our defined product teams.
