Working under the guidance of senior engineering staff, the incumbent contributes to aircraft modification programs, avionics system upgrades, and fleet modernization initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, airworthiness, and operational requirements.\nThe role assists in the development and implementation of modifications, including the preparation of technical documentation, engineering analyses, system integration activities, and certification support. The Junior Avionics Engineer also participates in the evaluation and selection of commercial and military avionics systems, supporting the integration of communications, navigation, flight instruments, and mission systems.\nThe Junior Avionics Engineer helps deliver safe, reliable, and effective technical solutions that support current and future operational requirements.\nThis role provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to develop expertise in avionics system integration, aircraft certification and military capability development.\nEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer or Aerospace Engineering or applicable equivalent (to this job description)\nKnowledge of Windows and Linux computer operating systems, and software development methods/processes, an asset\nKnowledge of Configuration Management, Airworthiness Clearance, Certification and Design concepts;\nKnowledge of aircraft design rules and standards;\nFluent with the Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of SharePoint, an asset\nAble to draw engineering drawings with AutoCad.
