The Intern will gain practical experience in Human Capital operations within a dynamic environment and assist the TopFloor team in various people and culture functions including but not limited to recruitment, payroll and people outsourcing, compliance, learning and development while developing essential HR skills and knowledge.\nKey Responsibilities\nEssence of HR & Labour Law Cornerstones\nAssist in research and documentation of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices \nSupport compliance audits and policy reviews for clients \nStrategic Human Resource Planning\nParticipate in workforce planning sessions and talent mapping exercises \nAssist in drafting HR strategy documents and organizational charts \nPayroll Support\nShadow payroll processing activities and learn statutory deduction calculations \nHelp prepare payroll summaries and reconcile employee records \nContract Management\nDraft and review employment contracts under supervision \nMaintain contract tracking systems and support renewal processes \nHealth & Safety Compliance\nAssist in compiling health and safety checklists and compliance reports \nSupport awareness campaigns and training logistics \nStatutory Compliance (Registrations & Returns)\nLearn about NAPSA, NHIMA, ZRA, and PACRA requirements \nSupport the preparation and submission of statutory returns \nRecruitment & Selection\nDraft job adverts, screen CVs, and schedule interviews \nParticipate in interview panels and candidate assessments \nTraining & Development\nAssist in planning and coordinating training sessions \nCapture feedback and help evaluate training effectiveness \nTeam Building & Culture Initiatives\nSupport the design and facilitation of team-building activities \nDocument outcomes and contribute to post-event reports \nPolicy Development & Review\nParticipate in benchmarking HR policies against Zambian labour standards\nAssist in drafting new policies (remote work, disciplinary code, grievance procedures)\nHelp create policy communication materials for employees\nPerformance Review Coordination\nPrepare evaluation forms and schedule review meetings\nCapture performance data and support calibration sessions\nGrievance Handling Support\nObserve grievance intake procedures\nHelp document cases and track resolution timelines\nDisciplinary Process Exposure\nAssist in preparing charge letters and hearing notices\nShadow disciplinary hearings and learn procedural fairness requirements\nWorkforce Metrics\nAssist in compiling monthly HR reports (turnover, absenteeism, overtime trends)\nLearn basic data visualization for HR insights\nSalary Benchmarking\nParticipate in market salary surveys\nHelp analyze compensation competitiveness\nExit Interviews & Offboarding\nHelp schedule and document exit interviews \nSupport the offboarding checklist process and knowledge transfer tracking \nLegal Updates Monitoring\nTrack amendments to the Employment Code Act, NAPSA Act, NHIMA regulations, etc.\nPrepare monthly HR compliance bulletins\nField HR Exposure\nParticipate in site visits to understand operational HR challenges\nAssist in conducting compliance spot checks\nRequirements\nBachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management.\nMembership with Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) is preferred\nStrong interest in Human Capital and willingness to learn and gain hands-on experience.\nBasic knowledge of HR principles and labour laws is an advantage.\nGood communication skills, both written and verbal.\nProficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.\nStrong organisational skills and ability to multitask.\nTeam player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.\nFluent in English and preferably one local language.\nThe internship may require occasional travel to client sites.\nHow to Apply\nInterested candidates should submit their application before 30th October 2026.
