Working closely with the Press Operator, this position helps produce high-quality flexible packaging while maintaining safety, housekeeping, and quality standards throughout the production process.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe manufacturing practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).\n\nMaintain company housekeeping, health, and safety standards throughout the work area.\n\nAssemble and disassemble press components, including pumps, hoses, filters, and related equipment.\n\nMonitor and maintain ink viscosity and ink levels during production.\n\nBlend inks according to required ratios and prepare solvent blends.\n\nProperly label and store all ink containers and production materials.\n\nLoad and unload rolls from the press and rewind equipment.\n\nPrepare raw materials for production and ensure they are staged for upcoming jobs.\n\nSet up splices and perform flying splices during production.\n\nPrepare cylinders and trolleys for press setup.\n\nPerform routine housekeeping and maintenance tasks around the press area.\n\nSecure finished rolls for transportation and storage.\n\nPrepare doctor blade assemblies for production.\n\nAssist the Press Operator with machine setup, operation, and changeovers.\n\nReview job kits and job jackets to understand production requirements.\n\nVerify materials are processed on the correct surface and according to job specifications.\n\nPerform raw material testing as required.\n\nPrepare materials for the next production job before the current run is completed.\n\nProvide cross-functional support to other team members as needed.\n\nServe as a backup Press Operator when required.\n\nParticipate in Global Performance System (GPS) activities and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nWe'd Love to Hear From You If\nYou are interested in building a career with a progressive manufacturing company focused on innovation and teamwork.\n\nYou have previous manufacturing, printing, or machine operation experience (preferred).\n\nYou have strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy hands-on work.\n\nYou can safely follow written procedures and operating instructions.\n\nYou have strong attention to detail and take pride in producing quality work.\n\nYou work well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nYou are dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.\n\nYou communicate effectively and enjoy working as part of a team.\n\nYou are willing to learn new equipment, processes, and manufacturing systems.\n\nYou are committed to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\n\nBenefits\nAt TOPPAN Packaging Americas, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support overall wellbeing.
