You will work with infrastructure, servers, domain services, databases, networks, and applications to support system availability, performance, security, and operational continuity.\nThis role is suitable for candidates at an early stage of their systems administration career who already have some hands-on infrastructure experience. We will also consider junior Database Administrators who have database maintenance knowledge and a clear interest in developing broader infrastructure skills. Advanced specialist expertise, including PKI, is not required.\nWhat you will do\nMonitor, maintain, and support servers, networks, operating systems, databases, and third-party applications.\nSupport Windows and/or Linux environments, including user access, permissions, domain controllers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy, according to the systems in scope.\nPerform routine database maintenance activities, including monitoring, access administration, backup and restore support, health checks, patching, and basic troubleshooting.\nProvide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support, investigate incidents, fulfil service requests, and escalate complex issues to the appropriate specialist teams.\nMonitor infrastructure and application events, respond proactively to alerts, and contribute to root cause analysis and problem prevention.\nInstall, configure, patch, and maintain standard hardware, software, virtual machines, and infrastructure components.\nSupport planned deployments and changes, ensuring they are tested, documented, approved, tracked, and supported by appropriate back-out plans.\nMaintain and test backup, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.\nMaintain accurate technical documentation, asset records, operational reports, and support procedures.\nCollaborate with internal teams, customer users, suppliers, and third parties to meet agreed service levels and improve system reliability.\nUse scripts and support tools to automate routine administrative tasks where appropriate.\nFollow ITIL-aligned incident, event, problem, and change management practices.\nABOUT YOU\nYou are a practical and motivated IT professional who enjoys understanding how systems work, resolving technical issues, and developing reliable solutions. You take ownership of your tasks, communicate clearly, and are comfortable learning from more experienced colleagues while progressively expanding your technical responsibilities.\nWhat we are looking for\nSome hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, database administration, or enterprise technical support. Junior candidates may be considered.\nPractical knowledge of domain-based environments, including domain controllers and Active Directory concepts.\nDatabase maintenance knowledge is required. This may have been gained through a System Administrator, Database Administrator, infrastructure, or technical support position.\nJunior Database Administrators who are interested in developing infrastructure and systems administration skills are encouraged to apply.\nA structured approach to troubleshooting, incident resolution, documentation, and operational follow-up.\nThe ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, customer users, suppliers, and technical specialists.\nWhat you will bring\nHigher education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant practical experience.\nKnowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.\nExperience or practical understanding of Active Directory, user and access management, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.\nKnowledge of database operations and maintenance, such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or another relational database platform.\nBasic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN, VLAN, VPN, routing, and firewalls.\nAwareness of backup, recovery, patching, monitoring, virtualization, and system-security practices.\nExperience with a service-management or ticketing tool and an understanding of incident and change management.\nGood written and spoken English, with the ability to read and interpret technical documentation.\nCustomer-focused communication, analytical thinking, and a calm, methodical approach to problem-solving.\nRelevant technical certifications, scripting knowledge, cloud exposure, or familiarity with PKI would be an advantage but are not mandatory.\nWork requirements\nThis role is primarily office-based and may include work in data-centre environments, where moderate noise levels may be present and appropriate protective equipment will be provided when required.\nParticipation in an on-call rotation may be required, depending on the team's structure and the needs of supported 24/7 services.\nCompliance with applicable customer and TOPPAN Security policies and procedures relating to quality, security, safety, business continuity, environmental management, and legal requirements.\nUse and support of standard company tools for remote access, monitoring, asset management, service management, and operational support.\nCandidates must be legally eligible to work in the EU and able to obtain the security clearance required for national-level operations.\nOccasional international travel may be required for implementation, training, testing, acceptance activities, or support visits, up to approximately 30%.\nCandidates must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid passport and any visas required for international travel.\nTOPPAN Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
