You will lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, and drive effective root-cause analysis to enhance production performance.\nAlongside this manufacturing focus, you will bring a solid technical understanding of electronic systems, industrial automation and controls, supporting the reliability, optimisation and development of production equipment and manufacturing technologies.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys combining hands-on manufacturing engineering with technical problem-solving and continuous improvement.\nKey responsibilities\nManufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement\nSupport and optimise manufacturing processes to improve productivity, product quality, yield and operational efficiency.\n\nLead and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies.\n\nConduct root-cause investigations, identify process inefficiencies and implement corrective and preventive actions.\n\nAnalyse manufacturing data, production performance and process capability to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.\n\nSupport new product introductions, process changes and the implementation of new manufacturing technologies.\n\nDevelop and maintain manufacturing documentation, process specifications, work instructions and engineering change controls.\n\nCollaborate with Quality, Operations, Product Development and Maintenance teams to standardise processes and share best practices.\n\nSupport process validation, qualification activities and compliance with manufacturing quality requirements.\n\nElectronic Engineering, Automation and Controls\nProvide technical support for electronic systems, industrial controls, sensors, vision systems and automated production equipment.\n\nTroubleshoot electronic and automation-related issues affecting manufacturing equipment and production processes.\n\nSupport the installation, commissioning, validation and qualification of new equipment in collaboration with suppliers and equipment manufacturers.\n\nDevelop and support preventive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and uptime.\n\nIdentify opportunities to introduce automation and technology improvements to enhance manufacturing performance.\n\nAbout you\nYou are a hands-on and analytical engineering professional who enjoys solving technical challenges and improving manufacturing performance. You have a continuous improvement mindset, a practical approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively across different functions.\nYou are comfortable working in a production environment, analysing processes and data, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting the implementation of practical solutions. You also have an interest in electronic systems and automation and understand how technology can contribute to manufacturing excellence.\nExperience and knowledge\nBachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.\n\nAt least 1 year's relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering or a related manufacturing environment.\n\nGood understanding of manufacturing processes, process optimisation and continuous improvement principles.\n\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.\n\nExperience analysing manufacturing data and identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality, yield and efficiency.\n\nWorking knowledge of electronic systems, industrial automation and control systems.\n\nFamiliarity with manufacturing equipment, PLC-controlled systems, sensors and instrumentation.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.\n\nGood communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nGood written and spoken English.\n\nDesirable\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement certification.\n\nExperience with statistical process control (SPC), PFMEA, process validation and engineering change management.\n\nExperience with MES, SCADA or manufacturing data systems.\n\nExperience with machine vision systems, RFID or smart manufacturing technologies.\n\nKnowledge of embedded electronic systems and PCB assemblies.\n\nExperience working within regulated manufacturing environments, such as secure identity, electronics, medical devices or pharmaceutical industries.\n\nPersonal attributes\nHands-on and practical engineering approach.\n\nPassion for technology, manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement.\n\nStrong collaboration and communication skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.\n\nAnalytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving.\n\nCommitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.\n\nLocation, travel and eligibility\nBased on-site at our Galway facility, Ireland.\n\nMust be legally eligible to work in the country of employment.\n\nReady to take the next step?\nJoin a global, collaborative and fast-moving environment where people, trust and innovation matter.\nWe'd love to hear from you!\nTOPPAN Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
