We combine deep sector expertise, bold ideas and collaborative intelligence to deliver secure, future-ready solutions.\nOur culture is grounded in four values: Agility, Ownership, Resilience, and a Sense of Fun.\nAbout the role and what you’ll do\nAs a Senior Technical Implementation Lead, you will play a key role in delivering secure identity and national identity solutions for government customers worldwide.\nThis is a senior, hands-on technical delivery role covering staging, deployment, configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting and operational handover of complex customer solutions. You will translate approved technical designs into controlled implementation plans and ensure solutions are deployed safely and in line with project, quality, security and change-control requirements.\nYou will provide technical leadership while remaining directly involved in implementation and validation. Working closely with Project Managers, architects, Development, QA, Support, customers and third-party suppliers, you will help ensure successful delivery from preparation through to operational handover.\nKey responsibilities\nLead implementation of complex secure identity and national identity solutions across customer environments.\n\nPlan and coordinate staging, installation, configuration, deployment and commissioning activities.\n\nTranslate approved technical designs into clear implementation plans, work packages and deployment activities.\n\nPersonally build, configure, troubleshoot and validate infrastructure where required.\n\nDeploy and support Windows/Linux servers, virtualisation, storage, networking, databases, backup and recovery components.\n\nEnsure implementation activities meet project milestones, quality standards and customer requirements.\n\nProvide technical direction and day-to-day leadership to implementation engineers and act as a technical escalation point.\n\nEnsure production changes are planned, tested, documented, approved and supported by appropriate rollback and recovery procedures.\n\nLead deployment-readiness reviews and provide technical input to implementation go/no-go decisions.\n\nIdentify and manage technical, operational and security risks, dependencies and deployment constraints.\n\nEnsure solutions are stable, documented and supportable before handover, including monitoring, backup, recovery, failover and maintenance readiness.\n\nWork with QA to ensure environments are ready for testing and customer acceptance.\n\nMaintain implementation records, technical documentation and knowledge-transfer materials.\n\nMentor implementation engineers and promote consistent implementation and documentation standards.\n\nWork directly with customers and suppliers, communicating technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nPresent technical status, risks, options and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.\n\nProvide technical input to bids, proposals and change requests, including delivery approaches, infrastructure assumptions, effort and risks.\n\nChallenge incomplete, untested or unsupported approaches and escalate delivery, security, quality or operational-readiness concerns\n\nThis is not a purely coordination or project-management role. The successful candidate must remain technically hands-on and contribute directly to implementation, troubleshooting and validation. The role implements approved designs rather than owning overall solution architecture or product design.\nAbout you\nYou are an experienced infrastructure and implementation professional who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to lead complex deployments and work confidently with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.\nYou take ownership of implementation outcomes, identify risks early, challenge approaches where necessary and develop practical solutions to complex technical problems.\nYou will ideally have:\nA minimum of 7 years of relevant implementation or infrastructure delivery experience.\n\nSignificant experience delivering complex enterprise implementations in controlled customer environments.\n\nExperience working across multiple sites, customers, environments, countries or time zones.\n\nHands-on experience building, configuring, troubleshooting and validating enterprise infrastructure.\n\nExperience with business-critical on-premises or hybrid infrastructure.\n\nExperience managing technical risks, dependencies and controlled production changes.\n\nExperience working with Project Managers, technical teams, customers and third-party suppliers.\n\nStrong technical documentation and implementation-planning skills.\n\nConfidence communicating with senior stakeholders and explaining technical matters to technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nExperience leading or mentoring engineers.\n\nA proactive, accountable and collaborative approach, with a strong focus on quality, security and continuous improvement.\n\nTechnical knowledge and skills\nStrong practical knowledge of several of the following is expected:\nMicrosoft Windows Server and Linux administration.\n\nVMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.\n\nPhysical and virtual server infrastructure.\n\nEnterprise storage, including SAN, Fibre Channel and iSCSI.\n\nMicrosoft SQL Server deployment and high availability.\n\nBackup, recovery and restoration technologies.\n\nActive Directory, Group Policy and WSUS.\n\nNetwork architecture, protocols and services.\n\nFirewalls, ACLs and VPN configurations.\n\nHigh availability and disaster recovery.\n\nInfrastructure monitoring and system health.\n\nRelease, deployment and configuration management.\n\nScripting or automation for repeatable builds and deployments.\n\nTechnical documentation and implementation planning.\n\nAdvantageous: Microsoft, VMware or Cisco certifications, and experience with Proxmox, Kubernetes or Docker.\nQualifications\nHigher education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related discipline is desirable.\n\nEquivalent practical experience in enterprise implementation or infrastructure delivery will also be considered.\n\nRelevant technical or professional certifications are advantageous.\n\nLocation, travel and eligibility\nLocation: United Kingdom or Dubai.\n\nInternational and customer-site travel of up to 40% may be required.\n\nValid passport and ability to obtain required visas.\n\nLegal eligibility to work in the location.\n\nCompliance with company and customer requirements relating to quality, security, health and safety, business continuity, environmental management and relevant legislation.\n\nJoin us\nJoin a global, collaborative and technology-driven environment where trust, innovation and quality matter.\nWe'd love to hear from you\nTOPPAN Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
