After delivering our 20% market share goal of “one in five” in 2023, we have launched our new goal - Mission 365 - targeting £365 million of sales\nWe are currently recruiting for a Shunter Driver to join our transport team on our Late Shift working Mon-Fri. 2pm-10pm. The role reports to the Transport Supervisor and provides vital distribution support to Topps Tiles.\nThe Role\nEnsure trailers are legally compliant and to the correct standard for use, positioning the equipment on and off trailer bays as required to ensure the yard area is maintained in a clean, safe and organised condition.\nLiaise with warehouse/transport personnel to ensure the correct equipment is positioned on and off the trailer bays, ensuring the flow is maintained, informing the Transport supervisors when equipment shortage will affect loading.\nComplete a preloading check prior to putting the trailer on a bay. Including defects, service and Mot requirements.\nCarry out full yard checks and completing all required documentation.\nDirect incoming equipment and vehicles to the correct parking/loading areas.\nContinue to drive all current VOR process\nAssist with any yard/trailer related queries.\nAssist with the opening and closing of curtains, and strapping down of pallets on the trailers\nThe Person\nMust possess a C+E license and a digital Tachograph Card.\nMust have experience of driving commercial vehicles.\nEnsure compliance with all current operational policies and procedures are met.\nEnsure all Road Transport legislation and regulations are compiled to.\nExcellent planning, organisation and communication skills.\nOperate in a safe manner and adhere to all health and safety guidelines at all times\nFocuses on delivering and exceeding expected standards and performanc\nWhat we’ll do for you\nIn a culture where hard work is recognised and great results are rewarded; you can look forward to a company bonus that will give you a share of our success (up to 20% of your base salary).
