If you're ready to join the TSTC family and make great memories please complete our application process.\nJob Description\nAs a Program Team Lead reporting to the campus Provost offices, you will be at the forefront of shaping TSTC's lasting relationships with faculty and students. Accountable for an instructional program or group of programs, you will guide a program and faculty team at a campus location towards achieving remarkable performance results and growing their capabilities in \"placing more Texans in great paying jobs.\"The Program Team Lead will accomplish results by fostering a high trust culture, communicating a path to success, executing goals and commitments, and coaching and developing the potential of faculty and students. Success in this role includes outstanding team leadership in delivering best-in-class learning solutions that positively impact students in the program. Striking a balance between leading for performance (rigor) and demonstrating humanity (empathy) towards teammates and students is crucial for instructional teams. The Program Team Lead collaborates closely with campus leadership, statewide partners, and cross-functional departments, such as statewide technology leads, career services, enrollment management, and recruiting, to establish the team's direction and ensure alignment with TSTC's mission.\nIn addition to team leadership, this role involves management responsibilities such as goal setting, strategic alignment, personnel management, local participation in statewide coordinated activities, hiring highly qualified team members, budget accountability, and other day-to-day execution tasks. Occasionally, the Program Team Lead may provide course coverage if credentialed, but this role will generally not involve a teaching load.\nSalary Range: $88,000- $101,000\nThe final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.\nEssential Functions\nTeam Leadership\nBuild quality relationships with faculty, students, and industry clients, fostering trust, respect, and empathy towards team members.\n\nEffectively serve both assigned students and instructors, providing comprehensive guidance.\n\nRecruit and retain a highly qualified faculty team using statewide qualification standards, support faculty development, and cultivate a learning environment that engages and develops students as productive workforce members.\n\nEstablish clear performance expectations for faculty, manage instructors' performance to achieve organizational goals and initiatives.\n\nCreate a culture of feedback among the team and within the learning environment.\n\nDevelop a team environment focused on trust, accountability, candor, commitment, and results.\n\nCommunicate regularly and purposefully with faculty and faculty teams to ensure engagement and accountability.\n\nProgram Recruitment & Marketing\nParticipate in the program's sales and marketing efforts.\n\nAssist with recruiting efforts, coordinating with campus and statewide recruiting campaigns and engaging faculty in student recruitment.\n\nRepresent the program to stakeholders.\n\nStudent Success\nMonitor student learning outcomes and leading indicators, coordinating with faculty, campus, and statewide resources for evaluation and intervention.\n\nMonitor student persistence to identify and remove systemic barriers.\n\nManage student and faculty grievance processes in collaboration with shared service providers and local leadership.\n\nLocal Industry Relations\nServe as the primary coordinator for local industrial employer engagement.\n\nForm and cultivate local industrial employer councils, facilitating annual workshop meetings to align curriculum with labor market trends.\n\nResearch and apply industry trends and emerging technology.\n\nManagement\nCoordinate program resources for recruiting, safety, and course scheduling.\n\nParticipate in budget development with statewide partners and manage ongoing operational budgets.\n\nCollaborate with shared services on curriculum and content development, ensuring industry and community relevance in the vetting and submission of statewide advisory committee membership based upon local employer council membership and contributing to the mission of placing more Texans in great-paying jobs.\n\nEducation/Experience/Knowledge/Skills\nKnowledge, Skill and Abilities:\nDemonstrated leadership and guidance in enhancing student achievement in a competency-based learning environment.\n\nEffective coaching and communication skills with a diverse student population.\n\nSuccessful communication and collaboration with diverse professional colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.\n\nUnderstanding of a competency-based education model.\n\nExperience leading a team focused on student support and instruction.\n\nProficient in technology-based educational delivery systems.\n\nProven ability to work with struggling or at-risk students.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nDemonstrated ability to lead a team using a relational leadership style (i.e., creating results through influence over authority).\n\nFamiliarity and interpersonal acumen amongst stakeholders within the related program discipline (e.g., employers, faculty, vendors, etc.)\n\nAbility to drive organizational change.\n\nRelevant credentials from an accredited institution as required by program (e.g., program-specific accreditor.)\n\nAbility to travel up to 20% of the time.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience recruiting and developing a team.\n\nExperience with profit and loss responsibility and accountability.\n\nExperience working with adult learners and distance learning environments preferred.\n\nExperience with Change Management and leading change.\n\nExperience working as faculty within TSTC or a similar environment.\n\nDemonstrated project management experience or experience keeping tasks organized while keeping others informed of progress with a meaningful size team and/or a project.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nTexas State Technical College (TSTC), as an equal opportunity employer, complies with all applicable federal and state laws regarding nondiscrimination.
