Our success comes from teamwork, integrity, and passion for excellence.\nWe’re looking for a Procurement / Supply Chain Assistant to strengthen our global Supply Chain organization by taking ownership of operational tasks across procurement, planning, and logistics. This role focuses on creating, tracking, and following up on purchase orders based on inputs from Strategic and Tactical Procurement, and related product receipt and invoicing topics.\nThis position is an ideal entry-level position to enable a career in procurement, planning, or logistics.\nIf you enjoy collaborating across teams and ensuring that day-to-day supply chain activities run smoothly and reliably, this is an opportunity to make a real impact in an international environment.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nAs Procurement / Supply Chain Assistant, you support operational supply chain activities across procurement, planning, and logistics. You work closely with teams in Switzerland and other locations, as well as external partners and service providers globally.\nMain responsibility: Procurement and planning operations\nCreate, release, and maintain purchase orders (POs) for raw materials and finished goods based on inputs from Strategic and Tactical Procurement and defined planning parameters.\nExecute standard planning topics for selected raw materials and finished goods\nMonitor open POs and delivery schedules; follow up with suppliers to confirm quantities, prices, and delivery dates and update the ERP system.\nTrack deviations in confirmations (delays, quantity/price issues) and escalate to Tactical / Strategic Procurement as needed.\nCreate and maintain ERP master data (vendors, raw materials, finished goods, purchase prices, lead times, minimum order quantities, etc.)\nHandle consignment invoicing\nCheck supplier invoices against POs and goods receipts (price, quantity, terms), clarify discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and support Accounting in resolving mismatches and credit/debit notes.\nSupport as deputy in warehouse and inventory management\nPrepare and support cycle count activities and book corrections.\nPrepare and track internal stock transfers between warehouses in coordination with Customer Service.\nSupport processing of order returns\nCoordinate and mitigate issues with the external 3PL warehouse\nSupport as deputy in logistics\nSupport inbound logistics by tracking incoming shipments, checking shipping documents vs. POdata, and ensuring correct goods receipt postings in the ERP system.\nSupport outbound logistics by maintaining shipping instructions, coordinating standard shipments with couriers / 3PLs, and ensuring accurate shipment and tracking data in the system.\nCoordinate and mitigate issues in logistics with the 3PL provider and couriers.\nHandle serial number and other tracking information\nSupport the preparation of standard customs and trade compliance documentation (e.g. HScodes, country of origin) and help resolve customs issues\nGeneral tasks and continuous improvements\nEnsure high data quality in ERP and other systems\nCreate and document standard operating procedures\nIdentify and propose improvements to simplify and standardize processes, reduce manual work, and improve lead times, reliability, and data quality.\nSkills\nCommercial or technical degree/qualification in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.\n2+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or a comparable operations / Assistant role (ideally in an international environment).\nPractical experience working with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), for purchasing, inventory, and logistics processes.\nExperience with creating and managing orders in ERP.\nStrong skills in Excel; experience with data analysis or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) is a plus.\nSolid understanding of basic supply chain concepts: POs, lead times, safety stock, stock transfers, inbound/outbound flows.\nExperience with standard logistics and invoicing processes (goods receipt)\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy\nStructured, reliable, and proactive way of working, able to follow defined processes while identifying improvements.\nStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work closely with Procurement, Logistics, Customer Service, and Accounting, and external partners.\nFluent in English (spoken and written); German is a big plus.\nWhat do we offer\nJoin a dynamic global company that values agility and innovation.\nCollaborate in a culture of trust, transparency, and empowerment.\nWork closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics teams across different locations.\nGrow with us - we value learning, curiosity, and initiative, and offer opportunities to take on more responsibility over time.\nEnjoy a modern, international working environment with contemporary employment conditions.\nGreat team within the Toradex Supply Chain department\nToradex is a leader in embedded computing, serving innovative products to industrial, medical, automotive & IoT companies creating feature-rich & intelligent systems for demanding applications, e.g. supercars, self-driving tractors, patient monitoring systems - to name a few.\nWe provide effective & robust embedded computing solutions and strive for the best development experience in the industry with a focus on intelligent hardware design, innovative software solutions & free comprehensive support.
