Come grow with us!\n\nTorch Technologies is seeking a Data Analyst / Data Scientist to join a team developing advanced data processing, workflow automation, visualization, and analytics capabilities supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground Test Program. This position supports MDA's Digital Engineering transformation efforts and Ground Test Program activities.\n\nAs a Data Analyst / Data Scientist, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:\nDesign, develop, and maintain automated data ingestion, staging, transformation, and processing workflows supporting Missile Defense System test and performance analysis.\nBuild and maintain scalable dashboards and visual analytics products using Tableau and similar visualization platforms.\nIntegrate and process data from diverse sources, including relational databases, structured and semi-structured files, and emerging data repositories.\nCollaborate with analysts, engineers, and subject matter experts to develop analytical solutions that improve operational insight and decision-making.\nDevelop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Python, SQL, Alteryx, and related technologies.\nSupport the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities into analytics platforms and visualization environments.\nApply software development best practices, including testing, documentation, configuration management, and code quality standards.\nWork within cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, and mission-focused data solutions.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nU.S. Citizenship.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.\n5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, or a related technical field.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.\nProficiency with Python and common data science libraries and frameworks.\nDemonstrated experience developing automated data processing and workflow solutions.\nExperience with relational databases and data storage technologies, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and file-based formats such as Parquet.\nExperience developing data pipelines, ETL processes, and automation solutions using Python, Alteryx, or similar tools.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related discipline.\nExperience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), or other government engineering and test programs.\nProficiency with Tableau or comparable business intelligence and visualization platforms.\nExperience implementing artificial intelligence, machine learning, or generative AI solutions within operational environments.\nExperience with containerization and deployment technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nKnowledge of cloud-based data and analytics architectures.\nExperience working within Agile software development environments.\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills.\nDemonstrated ability to engage effectively with technical and executive stakeholders.\n\nSchedule: M-F; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM\n\nWork Location: Onsite, Huntsville, Alabama\n\nTravel: Yes, 0-10%\n\nRelocation Assistance Available: No\n\nPosition Contingent Upon Award of Contract: No\n\n#LI-DK1\n\nBenefits: \n\nTorch Technologies is proud to offer a stable and professional work environment, a competitive salary, and an excellent, comprehensive benefit package including: ESOP participation, 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, Health Saving Accounts and Health Reimbursement Accounts, EAP, education assistance, paid time off, and holidays. \n\nApplying to Torch Technologies: \n\nOnly those candidates invited for an interview will be contacted.
