This is what it means to run on Toro TMS.\nAbout You\nWe're looking for an Engineering Manager who loves to build - the team and the product. You'll be hands-on in the code and hands-on in growing the people around you, and you should be excited about both.\nYou'll join a small, scrappy Product Development org that holds a high bar for engineering excellence and product quality. If we're not proud of it, we don't ship it.\nWe treat product development as a team sport. Engineering, Product, and Design are equal partners here, and you'll work closely with your product and design counterparts to shape the what, the why, and the how of your team's roadmap. This isn't a role where the roadmap arrives finished and you staff it.\nFull-time, fully remote, US-based.\nHow we work:\nWe're fanatical about understanding our domain and our users. Trucking is a complex, heterogenous industry, and we learn it deeply.\nWe're scrappy but not hacky. Divergent thinking has its place, and so does closing the loop.\nIdeal candidates should have:\nFamiliarity with with both Ruby on Rails and React\nExperience working in a remote-first environment\n2+ years of direct management experience \nAbility and desire to build fast and ship features on a daily / weekly basis\nStrong communication skills\nAbility to take direction and feedback from senior team members \nStrong desire to learn about the trucking industry, meet with customers, learn about their businesses and workflows \nEmpathy for users and teammates \nPermanent US work authorization \nBased in the United States \nWhy Join Us?\nYou’ll have real scope and impact.
