We are looking for people who want to solve hard problems and build things that matter.\nAbout the Role\nYou own 2D and 3D animation and motion graphics across all Torus content. The core of the job is translating Torus's products and features into visual explainers that simplify complexity and clearly articulate value. You'll take a concept or script and build it out into a finished sequence: storyboarding, animating, and polishing until it's ready to ship. You’ll work closely with video editors and directors to support larger content pieces with animation. Projects will range from docu-style features to concise product explainers. The common thread across projects is a passion for bringing ideas and stories to life through the power of visual design.\nResponsibilities\nOwn 2D and 3D animation and motion graphics for Torus's website, social, sales enablement, and internal content\nBuild visual explainers that translate Torus's products and features into clear, engaging sequences\nTake projects from storyboard through final animation\nPartner with the Video Editor to integrate animated elements into video content\nMaintain consistent animation style and visual quality across all output\nKeep current with motion design tools and techniques\nRequired Experience\n3+ years creating 2D animation and motion graphics, with a portfolio that includes explainer-style work\nProficiency in Adobe After Effects\nComfortable translating technical or product concepts into clear visual sequences\nStrong foundational design skills (layout, typography, color, illustration) in tools like Illustrator or Figma, alongside motion work\nExperience with 3D modeling and rendering (Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar) for product or facility renders\nExperience importing and cleaning up CAD or STEP files \nPreferred Experience\nExperience in B2B, energy, climate tech, or another technical/regulated industry\nExperience working alongside a video editor or broader content team on larger productions\nAdditional Details\nBackground Check All candidates are subject to a background check.\nLocation + Travel The role is based in Utah including hybrid remote with work based in your home office and our Salt Lake City/South Salt Lake warehouses and/or shoot locations, as needed.\nSchedule Full-Time, Salaried\nCompensation $80,000-93,000 (Note: We have the flexibility to hire at different levels, which may impact the corresponding pay range.)\nWork Authorization Applicants must already have the legal authorization to work in the US without requiring any employer sponsorship.\nPhysical Requirements\nRegularly operates a computer and other peripheral office equipment such as a printer or mouse.\nAbility to communicate information so others can understand.
