As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you turn engineering concepts into physical reality - wiring prototypes, assembling flywheels and battery storage systems, and building the custom fixtures that make production possible. When the engineering team needs to move fast, your skill and judgment are what keep pace. The energy infrastructure Torus is building will serve communities into the future, and it starts with people who can pick up a schematic, grab the tools, and make it work.\nWork with engineers to bring new designs and prototypes to life\nWire custom prototypes and early production builds\nHands on assembly and disassembly of Flywheels and Commercial Battery Storage products\nWork with manufacturing and service teams to produce and build custom fixtures for assembly or repair\nWork closely with the engineering team to accelerate the pace of design\nRequired Experience\n4-10+ years electrical technician/electrician experience\nA passion and track record of building/wiring/servicing/troubleshooting electrical systems\nStrengths in din rail wiring, soldering PCB’s and using measurement equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, etc.)\nUnderstands basic electrical theory, safe practices and is proficient at interpreting schematics\nExperience working to timelines and communicating with the team\nHands on problem solver\nPreferred Experience\nMechanical training and/or related experience\nExperience with AutoCAD Electrical \nComplex electro/mechanical assembly\nAdditional Details\nBackground Check All candidates are subject to a background check.\nLocation + Travel The role is onsite based at GigaOne, our Salt Lake City warehouse (air-conditioned and non air-conditioned areas). May require occasional onsite work in South Salt Lake warehouse and/or Springville R&D center (air-conditioned and non air-conditioned).\nSchedule Full-Time, Hourly\nCompensation $25.00 - 40/hour (Note: We have the flexibility to hire at different levels, which may impact the corresponding pay range.)\nWork Authorization Applicants must already have the legal authorization to work in the US without requiring any employer sponsorship.\nPhysical Requirements\nMust have the ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. \nMust be capable of standing, bending, and executing repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.\nAbility to read, identify, observe and recognize details, color-coding and fine print at close range on associated engineering drawings.\nAbility to don personal protective equipment to include, but not limited to, respiratory protective equipment with proper seal, coveralls, ear protection, gloves, eye protection & safety helmet. \nAbility to observe, detect and respond to audible and visual machine malfunction warnings.\nAbility to communicate information so others can understand.
