We are looking for people who want to solve hard problems and build things that matter.\nAbout the Role\nTheSupply Chain Analyst will play a critical role in supporting our R&D and Engineering teams by ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of electrical components and machined parts. This is mission critical for developing and supporting the next generation of Torus products. The role will report to the Director of Supply Chain and work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance, to develop and implement a reliable supply base for critical components used in our BESS (Torus Pulse) and FESS (Torus Spin) systems. The ideal candidate will bring experience in sourcing within the electrical components domain, preferably with exposure to machine shops and custom fabricated parts.\nTorus operates in a fast-paced and evolving environment, and this role will require adaptability and a willingness to take on responsibilities beyond typical duties when needed.\nResponsibilities\nIdentify, qualify, and manage suppliers for electrical and electromechanical components.\nSupport R&D and Engineering in finding sources for prototype and low-volume production parts.\nDrive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and lead time targets.\nBuild and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term strategic partnerships.\nNegotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers.\nManage RFQs, evaluate bids, and make supplier recommendations based on total cost of ownership.\nMonitor supplier performance using key metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, quality, cost competitiveness).\nCollaborate with Design Engineering to ensure component specifications are well understood by suppliers.\nStay up to date with industry trends in electrical components and machining services.\nComplete other tasks as necessary.\nRequired Experience\n5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles, with an emphasis on electrical components and/or machined parts.\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field or a combination of relevant experience and/or education.\nExperience using NetSuite ERP system or a similar (e.g. SAP, Epicor, etc.) software.\nDemonstrated experience sourcing custom fabricated parts and working directly with machine shops.\nFamiliarity with electrical components such as relays, connectors, switches, PCBs, harnesses, and power electronics.\nUnderstanding of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly.\nExperience supporting engineering development and NPI (New Product Introduction) sourcing efforts.\nExcellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience partnering with NetSuite system experts to set up and optimize system workflows is highly preferred.\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications is a plus.\nDemonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nYou’ll be a great fit if you have a passion for helping to solve complex climate challenges and are committed to finding new innovative ways to preserve and enhance our planet.
