Working alongside senior analysts and the technical teams assigned to your projects, you will help translate client needs into clear requirements, bridge the gap between clients and development staff, and support features from definition through delivery. This is a growth role: you will build product, analysis, and retail expertise while taking on increasing ownership of your work. \nOur organization provides software solutions for some of the world's largest retailers, partnering with brands like Kroger, Amazon, Meijer and Costco to deliver innovative consumer experiences across a wide range of technologies. \nAs an Associate Technical Business Analyst, you will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for planning, developing, and releasing software solutions to market. You will build and nurture working relationships with product, program management, and supporting groups to help ensure the timely release of solutions that meet demanding customer expectations. \nThis position requires a solid technical background, familiarity with Agile software development, and an understanding of traditional waterfall methodologies. The role is client facing, and you will develop a deep understanding of the requirements and business drivers behind Toshiba's products and solutions. \nResponsibilities \nRequirements and Analysis \nAssist in analyzing client business requirements to help determine the best approach to meeting each need (for example, existing functionality or a new feature), with guidance from senior team members. \nAnalyze and document well-defined requirements and help translate client needs into product-specific or client-specific requirements, with review from senior analysts. \nCreate and maintain requirements documentation that clearly conveys what is changing and why, from both the client and product perspectives. \nUse approved AI tools to draft, refine, and standardize requirements documentation and user stories, expediting the documentation process. Review and validate all AI-generated content for accuracy and alignment with client needs and system behavior before sharing it and remain accountable for the quality of your work. \nClient and Team Engagement \nParticipate in client interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand the \"what\" and the \"why\" behind their business needs. \nLearn the product's value and capabilities and support senior analysts in guiding clients through their decision making. \nBuild strong working relationships with the client and the project team, growing toward being seen as a trusted partner. \nIdentify potential scope changes and raise them promptly with the lead BA or project manager and participate in client scope conversations as your skills develop. \nDelivery Support \nSupport the development team during the build phase by answering questions and clarifying requirements. \nReview test cases and scenarios and perform UAT to confirm solutions meet business requirements. \nResearch client questions on functionality using test systems, internal AI tooling, documentation, or SMEs as needed. \nGrowth \nLearn Toshiba systems and develop into a system SME through training, hands-on use of test systems, and time with SMEs and developers. \nTravel \nUp to 25% travel. \nRequired Skills \n2-4 years of experience in a business analyst or similar role (internships and co-ops count) \nExposure to software development teams and projects through work, internships, or coursework \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills \nCollaborative, team-oriented approach \nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies \nAbility to create clear written documentation \nSelf-driven, with a strong desire to learn \nFluent English speaking and writing \nPreferred Skills \nBachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related field \nExposure to or interest in retail and retail point-of-sale systems \nExperience using AI tools to support writing, research, or analysis \nABOUT THE COMPANY \nToshiba Global Commerce Solutions is a dynamic billion-dollar global company based in Research Triangle Park, NC, providing retail store solutions to your favorite brands.
