Candidates will contribute to improving firmware update tools, deployment scripts, security-patch processes, and product qualification testing.\nWhat You’ll Work On:\nPriority 1 - Computer Science / Software Engineering\nUpdate the CHEC firmware update process to support individual device selection\nUpdate cash package scripts and the supporting file structure to include required files related to the core unit controller\nModernize the scripts used to download Windows security patches from Microsoft\nDocument changes and collaborate with CHEC-HW team members during implementation and validation.\nPriority 2 - Test Engineering\nExecute test plans to qualify foreign currency for CHEC-HW\nRecord test results and communicate defects, anomalies, and risks to the engineering team\nProvide feedback on test processes to support optimization and quality improvements\nCollaborate with team members to clarify procedures and improve repeatability\nRequired Qualifications:\nMust be able to work on-site at our Durham, NC headquarters at least one day per week; two days in-person preferred.\nCurrently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\nProgramming background with scripting experience in C++, Java, Python, and Windows batch scripting\nAbility to understand existing scripts, file structures, and software deployment processes\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and written communication skills\nAbility to read a test plan, follow documented procedures, and execute assigned tasks accurately\nDependable and trustworthy, with strong attention to detail\nReliable transportation and the ability to work on site at the RTP headquarters\nAbility to clearly document test results, observations, and issues\nMajor Responsibilities:\nUpdate the CHEC firmware update process to support individual device selection\nUpdate cash package scripts and the supporting file structure to include required files related to the core unit controller\nModernize the scripts used to download Windows security patches from Microsoft\nDocument changes and collaborate with CHEC-HW team members during implementation and validation\nAbout the Company:\nToshiba Global Commerce Solutions, Inc., is a dynamic billion-dollar global company based in Research Triangle Park, NC, providing retail store solutions to your favorite brands.
