Sr. Manager Strategy & Business Development

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy & Market Analysis to lead strategic planning, market analysis, and business strategy initiatives that drive growth and innovation across the organization. This role will lead a team focused on market insights, competitive analysis, next-generation retail concepts, and thought leadership development for Toshiba and its retail clients.

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Strategy & Market Analysis will be responsible for driving strategy creation and execution while partnering closely with business leaders across the organization. This individual will lead strategic planning efforts, evaluate market opportunities, assess competitive dynamics, and develop actionable recommendations that support long-term business objectives. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, leadership skills, and the ability to influence decision-making at all levels of the business.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

• 8+ years of experience in business strategy, strategic planning, or strategy consulting.
• Knowledge of retail industry trends and store operations.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to analyze financial statements.
• Experience conducting market analysis, business assessments, and financial modeling.
• Ability to develop and mentor team members in strategic analysis, market research, and financial evaluation methodologies.
• Strong executive presence with exceptional presentation, communication, and public speaking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and influence key stakeholders.
• Proven leadership and team collaboration capabilities.
• Strong understanding of business processes and operational improvement opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA preferred.
• Experience in retail strategy, technology strategy, management consulting, or business consulting environments.
• Process-oriented approach to business transformation and strategy development.
• Experience engaging with and presenting to C-level executives and senior leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business strategy projects from concept through execution, including market research, competitive analysis, market positioning assessments, financial analysis, and implementation planning.
• Manage day-to-day activities of the annual strategic planning cycle, including market sizing, business assessments, and development of mid-term growth strategies.
• Partner with Line of Business leaders to develop and execute business strategy plans.
• Collaborate with senior executives to evaluate strategic direction, business models, and execution priorities.
• Analyze and recommend build, buy, or partner opportunities to support business growth objectives.
• Lead market opportunity assessments and competitor analyses to provide strategic and tactical business insights.
• Support corporate development activities, including mergers and acquisitions, enterprise valuations, and business evaluations.
• Manage the collection, analysis, and assessment of competitive intelligence, market trends, and financial insights.
• Partner with Toshiba Tec headquarters teams on strategic analysis, business planning, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Develop thought leadership content and strategic communications for customers, analysts, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide consultation, guidance, and mentorship on strategy, market analysis, and business planning across the organization.
