This role uses AI-enabled automation to validate and enforce production-grade reliability, with the ultimate goal of delivering measurable system stability at retail scale. The position operates at the intersection of distributed systems architecture, performance engineering, reliability validation, and intelligent automation.\nWhat will you be doing:\nDesign and implement platform mechanisms that ensure transaction integrity and availability across POS\nterminals, store middleware, and cloud services.\nDefine and validate failure-mode strategies for intermittent connectivity, tier isolation, data replay, and\nsynchronization conflicts.\nEngineer patterns that prevent cascading failures and support graceful degradation under real-world load.\nDefine latency budgets and performance envelopes across all tiers.\nBuild systems that measure and validate throughput, concurrency limits, and resource saturation.\nCollaborate with development teams to eliminate bottlenecks before production.\nDevelop AI-enabled systems that automatically generate and execute performance and resilience validation.\nIntegrate non-functional quality gates into CI/CD workflows.\nContinuously evaluate timeout, retry, circuit breaker, and backoff strategies under stress.\nArchitect structured telemetry across edge, store, and cloud tiers.\nEnsure end-to-end transaction traceability.\nImprove root-cause detection by strengthening monitoring signal-to-noise ratio.\nProduce technical designs and failure-mode analyses.\nImplement and deploy platform components in Node.js and companion services in Java.\nDrive production-readiness improvements based on performance data.\nNaturally to be successful in this role, you must have and know of:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.\n+6 years of professional experience in Software Development or L3 support roles using Java.\nStrong proficiency in Node.js.\nProven experience in performance engineering, reliability engineering, or distributed systems architecture.\nDemonstrated experience designing systems with deterministic timeouts, retry/backoff strategies, circuit, breakers, and concurrency controls.\nExperience modeling multi-tier systems (edge, middleware, cloud).\nSolid understanding of SLOs, SLIs, and non-functional validation.\nExperience deploying services in Kubernetes-based cloud environments.\nStrong debugging and profiling skills for distributed systems.\nTech stack: Java, Spring, SpringBoot, Git, Maven, Docker, MongoDB, CI/CD pipelines, experience with cloud.\nEnglish: Fluent.\nPreferred skills:\nExperience building automated resilience or fault-injection systems.\nFamiliarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub, MQ).\nExperience implementing structured observability frameworks.\nExposure to AI-enabled automation or workflow orchestration.\nExperience optimizing systems in intermittently connected environments.\nFrontend experience: JavaScript, Vue.js, NodeJS, TypeScript.\nLinux & Windows.\nSelenium/Cucumber.\nWe offer:\nHired directly by Toshiba and 100% under payroll.\nBenefits of the law (IMSS, INFONAVIT).\nLife insurance, major medical expenses with dental and visual coverage.
