Conduct regular risk assessments and analysis of the company's exposure.\nRisk Mitigation Strategy: Develop and implement appropriate strategies to mitigate identified risks, including creating action plans, controls, and processes that prevent or reduce the impact of risks.\nInternal Control Oversight: Design and monitor internal controls to mitigate risks, particularly in critical areas such as financial reporting, compliance, safety, and operational processes.\nRisk Reporting: Produce timely risk reports for management, highlighting key risks, potential impacts, and mitigation strategies. Maintain up-to-date risk records and dashboards.\nRegulatory Compliance: Stay updated on local and international regulatory changes in the energy sector and ensure that the company's activities comply with applicable laws and standards.\nTraining & Awareness: Lead initiatives to ensure all employees are trained on risk management practices and their roles in mitigating risks.\nCrisis Management: Support crisis management planning and response, providing risk-related insights and coordinating risk mitigation strategies during unforeseen events or incidents.\n Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulators, insurers, and auditors, to ensure the company’s risk management practices align with industry standards and requirements.\n\nRequirements\nA minimum of 7-10 years of experience in risk management or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role within the energy industry.\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.\nMaster’s degree (MBA, MSc in Risk Management, or related fields) is an added advantage.\nDemonstrated experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies, policies, and controls.\nProven track record of managing complex risk scenarios in a large organization, particularly in the energy or infrastructure sectors.\nExperience in regulatory compliance and risk reporting, including working with auditors, regulators, and external stakeholders.\nExperience in crisis management, including effectively managing high-risk situations and emergencies\nProfessional certifications such as ICAN, Certified Risk Manager (CRM), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) are highly desirable.\nFull-time position based in Nigeria with occasional travel to project sites or international offices.\nThe position may require long working hours depending on the risk environment and project deadlines.\nWill
