To be\naccountable and responsible for all work performed.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n· Work in a safe manner and maintain safe and clean work area.\n· Must wear required personal protective equipment.\n· Must wear seat belt and orange vest when driving a forklift truck.\n· Reports all potentially unsafe conditions.\n· To direct and coordinate shift personnel to produce company products in a quality, on time\nand in a safe manner.\n· To ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to.\n· To ensure manufacturing standards, quality controls (SPC, etc.) and operating procedures\nare maintained, achieved and adhered to.\n· To report and assist in the resolution of all manufacturing difficulties, facilities,\nequipment, materials and / or personnel problems.\n· To ensure effective communications including shift carryovers.\n· To ensure shift personnel are trained to perform their job to established manufacturing and\nquality standards in a cost-efficient manner.\n· Reconciles and approves hourly employee timecards in E-Time.\n· Required to work mandatory overtime when scheduled.\n· Knowledge and practice of all applicable Hutchinson’s Health, Safety, and Environmental\npolicies, procedures and requirements.\n· Since it is impossible to foresee every situation in production needs, you may be assigned\nresponsibilities outside the scope of the job description to meet production needs.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\n· The employee will have 2 years of college or equivalent background. The employee must\nhave a minimum of 3-5 years experience working in automotive manufacturing.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nThe employee will have 2 years of college or equivalent background. Employee must\nunderstand the role and function of the maintenance organization in a manufacturing environment.\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:\n· Fork truck operator’s license.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n· Leads the activities of a group of operators in their perspective area in accordance with the company policies and procedures.\nTEAM SKILLS:\n· The employee must be able to work with and lead others in a team setting.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS:\n· The employee must be able to read and write English to understand instructions that are\ngiven.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS:\n· Basic math and problem-solving skills required for measurement, scheduling, and tracking\nmetrics.\nCOMPUTER SKILLS:\n· Must have good computer skills with a working knowledge of email, MS Excel, MS\nWord, and AS400.\nREASONING ABILITY:\n· The employee must have the ability to define problems, draw valid conclusions,\nand determine a proper course of action. The employee must be able to implement necessary\nsolutions with little or no direct supervision adhering to company policies and practices.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\n· The employee will work regularly between an office and a manufacturing environment where the\nuse of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be required including safety glasses, steel toed\nshoes with metatarsal guards, and hearing protection. The employee may also be required to\nuse a face shield, protective gloves and sleeves, fall protection harness, and hardhat depending\nupon assigned work tasks.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\n· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk for\nextended periods of time; bend; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; reach with hands and\narms; talk and hear; and regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
